Bad tv

I have a job and really can’t be going back and forth to Best Buy gas is high

You'll think "lg" would have good quality tv but

Damaged open box

Highly disappointed and would like for things to be looked at during pick up

Great TV for the price.

I am giving this TV 5 stars because of the picture and the size at the price point. We only use this TV for one purpose, watching TV/movies. For this purpose, the TV is excellent considering that it cost less than $600 for a 75" screen. The picture is excellent. Overall, we are happy with the purchase. More technical users and gamers may not feel the same way. But then, technical users and gamers won't buy this TV. There are only two HDMI slots, but again, at this price, you are paying for a huge UHD screen made only for watching TV and not much else. There are two set backs for this TV: 1. TV claimed to be an Alexa device also. I am an Alexa fan. Nearly everything in our house is controlled by Alexa. And while this TV claims to work as an Alexa device, it does NOT!!! While setting it up, it appeared that the remote control that would have made it an Alexa device is a voice controlled remote. That remote did not come with the TV. instead we got a simple remote that does not match the one shown in setting up the TV. No matter, we have an Echo Show in the same room before we bought the TV, so we won't have use the TV as an Alexa device anyway. The remote that it did came with is adequate. 2. The LG ThinQ App is a joke. While this app allow you to use your phone as a remote to turn the TV on and off and control the volume. Who would want to use their phone as a remote control for just these two function? So that is basically worthless. Integration with Alexa is the big joke here. The only thing you can do is turn the set on and off and even that works only half of the time. After one evening, I decided to delete the LG ThinQ app and instead use the ROKU integration on Alexa. About 7 or 8 years ago, we paid $2000 for a 70" Sharp smart HDTV. That was the higher end smart model at that time. It still works the same as it did when we bought it. But the picture on this LG is so much better.

Good TV, poor remote!

The setup is a bit klunky and cumbersome. The remote absolutely sucks. There are some apps which wont work with the web/os software, such as Philo, which sucks. I said to hell with the remote and clunkyness of the web os and plugged in my 4k firestick, for the win. Overall, its a nice 75" TV, and for the price you'd be hard pressed to find a recognized brand that's better. The software and setup could be better. Without question, the remote sucks and is an epic fail for LG, but there are aftermarket remotes which are better suited to the task. We paired it to our existing Sony soundbar system which was mostly painless to do for the room filling sound in our livingroom.

For the price the picture quality 4k resolution is amazing! Easy set took no time at all. Many options to set up how you like to watch TV. Sport mode for football is a game changer!! Highly recommend!
