We bought this tv on Oct13th for $1599.99 at BestBuy store. When we checked online on Oct31st the price was $1,499. When we called customer service they put us on hold for 35 minutes stating they are working on it and then came back stating they cannot do a price match or provide a credit for the difference….while the website states that they do the price match during holiday period…so, frustrating in wasting the time and keeping on hold. TV is fine. Picture quality could be better

Hi, Srini. Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG TV (OLED77B5PUA) model. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear the TV is working well overall, even if the picture quality didn’t quite meet your expectations.

For optimizing your viewing experience, we recommend enabling AI Picture Pro under Settings > Picture > AI Service. This feature automatically adjusts contrast, sharpness, and color based on the content and ambient lighting. You can also try switching to Filmmaker Mode for more accurate color and motion handling, especially with movies and streaming content. Hi, Chris. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We understand your LG TV (OLED77B5PUA) model went out after 10 minutes and would not turn back on. It’s awesome to hear that you’re loving your new C5 model without any problems.

Even though you’ve figured things out, a chill troubleshooting tip for a TV that’s being a bit stubborn about turning on is to do a power cycle. Just unplug the TV, hang tight for a minute, and then plug it back in. Sometimes that little reset can clear up minor hiccups. I am not recommending the LG TV model specifically, as it does not support 4K film playback (2160p). Models B5, C5, and others are affected by this issue.

Hi, there. Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback on the LG OLED77B5PUA and related models. Your experience highlights an important concern for users who expect full compatibility with 4K (2160p) film playback — especially when investing in a premium OLED television.

It’s clear that resolution support plays a major role in your viewing experience, and your observation that certain models like the B5 and C5 may not deliver the expected playback performance is valuable. We’ll be sure to pass your feedback along internally so it can inform future product development and support efforts. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience — it contributes meaningfully to improving both products and communication. - Avril LG
