First let me say, I always upgrade every couple years for many reasons but mostly because I suffer constant migraines. As technology progresses, the images improve, and the strain on my eyes lessens. I was watching tv on a higher mid level tv, it was a 4k led Sony bravia 65”. I did a lot of research before taking the leap and buying this for $3200, this was almost double the cost of my prior tv, so it was a leap of faith. This tv is entirely different from the mid level tvs, even the nicer ones. First, this tv is 120hz native at 4k, this was huge because I have a ps5, as well as a pc that run at 4k 120hz. Second, oled allows better contrast which significantly reduces eye strain for me. Black is pure because the individual led turn off, so the amount of light is also reduced. Third, the smart tv is so good it’s embarrassing for the lesser tvs. It functions in a very user friendly way, my bravia smart functions were so clumsy it was a headache just to try to use them, so I didn’t. I used an Apple TV box for smart tv functions. However this tv works so well, I enjoy it. Also this tv can mirror my iPhone, so the Apple TV is no longer needed in any way. As if all that wasn’t enough, the remote has voice, as well as a highly functional air mouse. So, how is the picture? It is bar none. I don’t see any blurring or tearing I saw in my prior set. This one has crystal clear images. I have nothing bad to say, except, I wish I bought this level tv sooner. No regrets, just buy it.

Bought it April 2nd, its now June 27th. It was wall mounted and hasn't been touched since. Earlier today horizontal lines appeared and now the TV is an expensive paper weight. When i turn it on now it lasts about 15 seconds then has a seizure then shuts off.

    Amazing LG Picture Quality

Just got my LG 77" CX delivered yesterday by the Geek Squad. This is my third LG OLED - my first one was purchased about 4.5 years ago and ended up being replaced under warranty due to some bad pixels after about 1.5 years and image burn in. The burn in on that first tv was my fault as I always had the tv on full brightness. Best Buy brought me out a new TV two days after I filed my claim. It was a C7 65" which I have used for the last three years with no issues. I'm expecting this new TV to perform just as well as my prior two LG TV's. I really wanted to upgrade to a 77" CX and it was just delivered yesterday and I'm so glad I bought this larger screen (even though I already had a 65") - it's so immersive and has an amazing picture. Several years back I purchased a Pioneer Plasma 50" which I loved, so I'm so used to great image quality and true blacks so while I did consider getting an LED/LCD this time around to save some money I just couldn't do that as the picture quality just doesn't compare to an OLED which I was so used to. While I was able to set up my prior 65" by myself - I didn't want to tackle that task with this larger 77" so paid for the Geek Squad install. They were super friendly and knowledgable, even though this was a pretty simple install (no mounting) I appreciated their assistance - was worth the money.

    Unbelievable Picture!

This is without a doubt the best TV that I have ever owned! I was only replacing a LED tv that was a little over a year old with what I thought was all the bells and whistles, but it doesn't compare to the quality of an OLED TV. The problem I've had in the past is figuring out the perfect calibration for a new TV, but this LG TV came with a couple of perfect picture modes right out of the box depending on what type of content you are watching. Following the super easy setup and installation not having to mess around for hours on perfecting the picture was a blessing. The remote is easy to use and was able to connect to my existing sound system and control my Fire Stick. We are currently using the Fire Stick for most watching, but using the built in apps work just as easily. There's even a cool feature that allows you to pick your favorite sports teams and get score updates as you wish that pop up in the corner. Just one of many cool features and apps available. Another part of this TV that just can't go unmentioned is the overall style and look of the TV. It was super thin bezels and of course it's about as thin as you could imagine. Only thing I wish was different is where I have it set up so you can fully appreciate how thin it is. Back to the quality of the picture I have to mention how good it does in both dark and light scenes. I've had problems with blooming and banding on other TVs, but none of those problems exist on this set. The OLED pixels allow the picture to get pitch black in dark scenes while still keeping the contrast and see all the details in the scene. Nothing gets lost. In all, I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone who is looking for the perfect set for any type of viewing. Can't be beat.

    Great TV with Awesome Picture!

We love our LG CX OLED TV. It has a great crisp picture. The colors are vivid and the deep black levels allow you to see all of the details in the dark scenes too. Has a great picture no matter what we are watching sports, shows, movies and sports. Perfect settings out of the box that we hardly had to adjust. Compared to other TVs we've had in the past this was a huge plus that we really appreciated. Overall the picture quality really can't be beat. OLED technology is the best of the best and it shows on this TV. The design is amazing very slim goes well with any decor. We put ours in our family room and it fits in perfectly. There's even a mode that allows it to become like a giant work of art complete with frame. So it can almost disappear into the room when needed. The design of most TVs have become very similar in recent years, but this one will definitely stand out when you want it to, while also being able to hide when needed. The built in apps allow easy access to any of our favorite streaming services. Disney+, Netflix, Youtube TV all have access from the menu at the bottom. Which comes up with one simple push of a button. Another great feature is the quick access buttons you can program into your remote for your favorite and most used apps. We recommend this TV to anyone! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.

Objectively the best picture quality money can buy, hands down. I purchased this TV to get an immersive, cinematic experience at home in a basement rec room where a projector just wouldn't work. This is my second LG OLED and they've only become better with time. Haven't experienced any indication of burn-in or image retention on my 2017 model, so purchased this larger format for a home theater and game room. Now that the 77" sizes have come down significantly in price since their introduction a few years ago, it's totally worth it. Stunning image. Black level, contrast, and motion handling are in another league compared to LCD technologies.

This is a simple review. This is literally the best TV on the market today under $10,000. The only drawback it has is that it is not an 8K display. But in all honesty 8K is probably still a few years away from being some thing that would be important. As of this year with all types of media it is almost impossible to tell a 4K TV apart from an 8K TV, there is just next to no content out yet...I’ve been a diehard plasma TV guy since they came out, five years ago when my pioneer finally died I decided to do a 65 inch LGOLED, the EF 9500. This TV had a retail price of $7000. When I saw that the LG 77 CX was Half that price I was amazed. This TV would be an incredible deal even if they sold it for $5000. The other TVs like LED have come along way in recent years but they still can’t touch the color, contrast, and natural motion of an OLED. This is the type of TV that you can watch the entire series of Game of Thrones and not miss anything that is going on in the dark scenes, which is common with LED TVs. Let me just say if you are a gamer with one of the new Xbox/ps5 this is by far the best I have ever seen in my life on a TV this size. Netflix, Amazon, Hulu are lightning fast and picture quality is unbelievable. I sit 8 foot away when gaming, and about 11 foot away when watching TV or DVD. After about a week of getting used to the size of it I will definitely say it fits my field of vision perfectly. No regrets from going from a 65 inch to a 77 inch, and no loss of perceivable resolution, which sometimes can happen. Remember a bigger TV equals larger pixels. LG’s game mode hits all the right buttons and right out of the box it is good to go, for regular TV watching I’ve found the ISF day mode to be 99% as accurate as a professionally calibrate a display which is amazing, are used to be an ISF calibrator!!! There’s a lot of buzz right now about a TV’s peak brightness and it seems most people feel the higher the number the better the TV. I will say this, this TV is incredibly bright. In fact most of the time I keep the back lights at about 50% power, contrast 88, brightness 49-51. When I would watch it at 100% it almost felt like I was looking at A car coming down the road at night with its high beams on at times. To sum up if this TV is within your budget, pull the trigger. If not consider going down to the 65 inch model. Pound for pound and dollar for dollar you will find nothing better on this planet at this time.

I've had this TV for a little over month and it's everything I wanted from a TV. This replaced my Panasonic ZT60 plasma and the blacks on this TV blow the plasma out of the water. The picture quality is phenomenal and I am still debating on calibrating the display. It seems everyone's complaints with this TV is that it's not much of an improvement over the C9 and to me that's not really an issue. At the price point one could argue the C9 is a better value but it wasn't really discounted when I purchased this TV. As far as some of the features go... I've tried the black frame insertion and wasn't impressed so I wouldn't buy this TV for that reason. If you turn it to high it drastically reduces the brightness so I keep it off. I am able to game at 4k 120hz with my GTX 1080 Ti and it's awesome. Support for Gsync is only for the RTX cards which is a bit disappointing. WebOS isn't great and the Plex support is a bit disappointing, specifically I am unable to direct stream 4k Blu-ray rips to the TV and everything gets transcoded. I'm hoping one of the next gen consoles will be a good media center replacement. Casting, AirPlay, and the Spotify app work great, except for a bug that makes me turn wifi off and on again for the display to be found. Cinema mode is cool, I like the natural look instead of the unrealistic motion that you can see on other LCDs and OLEDs. DTS isn't included in this set which is disappointing but I am able to get Dolby Digital through ARC but it wasn't really a user friendly process and I can't recommend it. If you want DTS than stay away but I am fine until the HDMI 2.1 receivers start hitting the shelves. Pros PQ is phenomenal 4k 120hz gaming Cinema Mode Cast, AirPlay Cons Black frame insertion is kind of a miss No DTS WebOS lacks support

I searched all tvs brands and decided on the LG CX77 OLED and I’m glad I did. The picture is outstanding. The colors are amazing and truly pop on the screen. Dolby vision is as advertised and titans xtremly detailed in HDR. I really like the magic remote and have no issues with it. The sound is not bad but obviously if watching HDR movie you will want to add a soundbar. The tv is amazing slim. Going from a high end Sony LED LCD to OLED was worth every penny.

This tv looked great on display at the store but wait till you set it up at home. My mouth dropped at the visuals. I also got a ps5 and everything looks truly next gen. 120hz gaming , low lag , hdr , hdmi 2.1 inputs . As a gamer I was afraid of burn in. This tv has everything built in to prevent that I also read oled isn't as bright but with the contrast you can get with pure black and no array lighting like led I couldn't tell some scenes were very vivid and bright .

I read everything on this TV and the high end Samsung and Sony LCD TV’s. I had a Sony x930e that was extremely bright before this. When I got this TV I was kind of disappointed because the screen is dim. I nearly returned it several times but my wife loved the CX so I kept it and am so glad I did. Took a lot of playing with the settings though to get a bright enough picture. Now that I have it dialed in this TV is by far superior to any LCD tv I’ve owned. I love it I can’t wait to get home from work to watch something. Now that my eyes adjusted and I have good settings this picture is thicker and rich when comparing. Even after I read every review and watched every YouTube video on this OLED I still wasn’t sure what I bought until I got it home and used it. If you are coming from a bright LCD display give it some time. The display somehow seems to get better everyday. Geek squad did a good job delivering and mounting. I think you’ll only be able to buy this TV for another week or so. If you are considering buying this, just know you are buying a darker richer panel. HDR content is amazing. Dobly vision is a little dark. SDR content for sports is great, but not a bright POP like LCD’s. Video games are awesome too! I mainly watch sports and movies. Closing this is a great panel while not that bright it provides perfect contrast and colors that exceed anything I’ve seen before. It’s gotten better everyday like the pixels needed to warm up before showing its potential.

This TV blew my mind! We upgraded from a 65 inch Samsung TV from 2016 and the colors and darks were superior in every way. Watched a nature show on Netflix in Dolby Vision and my mouth dropped. We also have an Xbox Series X and Playstation 5 and gaming on it has been fantastic. Super smooth. Haven't noticed any ghosting at all. I was worried about burn-in, as this is my first OLED TV. I bought the Geek Squad 5-year warranty since they cover it just in case. It put my mind at ease when making such a large investment on a TV. Apps on the TV using WebOS have been great. Got rid of our Roku, as YouTube and Netflix instantly load on the TV. Roku had a bit of loading on their 4K model we had. Was nice to free up a precious HDMI slot. They also have a good variety of apps, but there's where Roku does better. WebOS doesn't have HBOMax and some of the apps I used for my NAS that Roku has. My experience has been so great with this TV. We got this 77 inch for our living room, but I want a 65 inch in our bedroom and den as well! Highly recommend

I replaced a 5 y.o. LCD with this TV and there is no comparison. Between the stunning picture quality, color and detail I am just amazed. My setup is in a fairly well lit room during the daytime and I have no complaints with glare or dimness during the day. Of course the picture is phenomenal at night. I am very impressed with the deep pure blacks and HDR is just amazing when the TV has a high quality 4K UHD HDR signal. I haven't even connected my Xbox yet but every review anywhere says that the LG OLED CX is a rockstar for video gaming. Sure the C1 is out now but I saved $500 going with the CX and am completely satisfied.

I'm giving this 5 stars because it's a truly magnificent television. I won't try to provide a detailed technical review -- there're lots of those. Picture quality is stunning, bright true colors, not oversaturated, amazing contrast. Beautiful. Despite others' complaints, I think the remote is fine, just takes a little getting-used-to. No problem. The Geek Squad service was flawless. Two small nits, however. The built-in speakers are disappointing. Of course after you spend over $3000 on a TV, you shouldn't plan on using the internal speakers, so I won't knock off any points. But they really could have made the built-ins better. The second is the absence of HBOmax as a streaming app. Come on, LG, you really need to offer it. Yeah, I know, there are other ways to stream HBO than the resident app. But my $29 firestick can do it, so why not the $3000+ luxury smart TV?

I've had this TV for almost 2 weeks now...It has literally the best picture I've ever seen...even being "last years model". Super vibrant, great refresh rate. Makes everything look better. My Xbox Series X is like leaps and bounds ahead of where it was on my old old Samsung LED. Just a genuinely great TV. Has everything you need (including HDMI 2.1 for those new consoles). It's a bit of a splurgy purchase, but if you can afford it...do it. You will NOT be disappointed. Very easy to customize the picture to your liking, it also has different profiles you can adjust for different uses, when my Xbox turns on it automatically adjusts for it. Worth every penny. Bought an open box model at a SUPER DEEP DISCOUNT and could not be HAPPIER!!!!
