What an amazing display. Perfect for next gen consoles. I also like that I can hook up my bookshelf Edifier speakers via the headphone jack (couldnt do that with my previous samsung TU7000 series). I got a tilting mount for my wall that can hold over twice the weight of this TV; however, the mounting holes on the back of the TV are centralized down towards the bottom. This made the TV quite top heavy so my mount always tilts allllll the way forward, I had to wedge foam behind the tv to make it lay flatter against the wall. Or I'd maybe recommend a mount that does not tilt. My magic remote doesn't seem to use the "Pointer" function however this is not a good enough reason for me to return such a wonderful tv. Deep blacks and very crisp picture when I watch BluRays. Would recommend this TV to anyone who can afford it.

The TV does have a picture that is probably the best I have experienced and I have had a lot of TV models over the years. The blacks are extremely black and the whites are bright. It makes a remarkable contrast. So much so when I first started watching the TV it took some getting used to the difference in picture. Watched some of the Harry Potter movies via 4K Blue Ray player and combined with the surround sound was very impressive experience. I am not crazy about the WebOS solution and the lack of support for the streaming solutions i use forced me to connect a FireTV device to the TV as my streaming option. Outside of that highly recommended TV.

Amazing Home Theater Experience from the LG CX 77

The LG CX 77 is an excellent display that provide an amazing home theater experience is in surprising thin package. OLED is known for a great picture, amazing blacks, and industry leading response times for TVs. The LG CX 77 takes a step further by adding a ton of features including 4 2.1 HDMI ports, FreeSync/G-Sync/VRR support, and the ability to change video setting to exact specifications. This OLED has been amazing when there is a lot of light from windows and when the room is dark with the curtains closed. Direct light from a light fixture can be seen in especially dark scenes (Fine Tune Dark Areas was a much appreciated update), so you will want to turn of any light fixture that will reflect off of the LG CX. Also, the LG CX has plenty of brightness, so you do not have worry about not being able to see the vibrant colors. The sound is also good for the size of the TV. The LG CX puts out loud sound that supports voice/talking and action. The gaming features are excellent. The refresh rate goes up to 4K/120 and like great as well. Gameplay looks very smooth and the picture looks amazing. You may have to change a few settings to get the best picture for some games, but you have the settings are flexible enough to get the best experience. The smart features (Airplay, Google, and Alexa, etc.) are awesome as well and really display the flexibility of use cases of the TV. Even more, with there is a nice library of apps (Apple TV+, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney+, etc.) to use in lieu of your external devices. Also, LG CX has a plethora of tools to protect the screen (logo luminance to dim images, pixel shift, a screensaver, and a 4 hour auto shutoff. A few more automatic time options would have been a nice compliment to the sleep and power on timers.), so I am looking forward to this OLED’s display remaining awesome. The LG CX is an amazing display and is a great foray in to the OLED technology for the gaming, movies and TV media. The LG CX really goes all out as a display by having a gallery mode with a lot of paintings included. This indeed makes the LG CX 77 a work of art and amazing display for media consumption.

The CX delivers the best picture quality for the price. I got this when we moved to a new place that required a tv greater than 75". Previously I was using a vizio 65 p series which had a pretty great picture. The HDR on the vizio was intense, sometimes watching in a dark room bright objects on the screen would hurt your eyes. The LG is much more enjoyable to watch as it delivers a similar hdr experience without hurting your eyes due to the ability to reach complete black. You don't realize how much bleeding and blooming truly occurs even with FALD until you get an OLED. Even with new technologies and models of oleds coming out they will judged against the CX.

I upgraded from a Vizio quantum 65" that was about 3 years old. Nothing wrong with it, just needed a second TV. And now I am ruined. I cannot go back to a non-OLED. If you are on the fence, just buy it. The magic remote and UI is light years ahead of Vizio, and everything is just faster - Netflix, Hulu, etc. Some reviews I read say it isn't bright enough - I have no idea what those people are talking about. Good enough for me and my TV is adjacent to large windows. Best Buy delivered it safely and professionally. Set up was a breeze, even wall mounting it was straight forward.

We love this TV in our great room. We also added a SONOS arc soundbar with sub and rear speakers and it has been amazing to watch movies at home. We had the 2016 LG OLED 65 inch and replaced with the 77 inch . Both TVs are amazing but the crazy extra foot on the 77 inch is totally worth it. There is nothing quite like OLED for vivid colors and contrast. Considering in the same space 14 years ago we bought a Pioneer Elite 50 inch Plazma TV for $7500, $4499 is a great deal for such better technology.

This TV is amazing. No other words for it. And it is huge. It seems a lot bigger than it did in the store. One caution. If you are putting it on a TV stand like I did, the TV is to low for a center speaker to be in front of it. I built a raiser before it arrived. Sound. I have a good home theater and I thought it sounded good. The Dolby Sound processor in this TV that is now sending a signal to my receiver is far superior. The sound quality coming out of my home theater has increased exponentially. Display. The display is flawless and bright. (I replaced a plasma so everything else is brighter). I dug into the settings and selected the Standard Mode and it is perfect for everything I do. Menu. The menu is easy to find and still allows you to see what is going on in the background. Very easy to rearrange your menu items and to add new apps. Remote. The “Magic Remote” that comes with this TV is very smartly built and designed. I was able to easily program into it the 4 apps I use the most. There are buttons for Netflix and Amazon built in, but I programmed them in also to the quick keys as they are easier to find it the dark. The TV automatically detected my receiver and programmed the remote to automatically control it. The TV starts up in 7 to 10 seconds, which is pretty good compared to some. WebOS is LG’s Linux control software for the Smart TV Function. It is my first experience with it (the other being from Samsung) and it reacts very fast. Accessing Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Disney+ is significantly faster than it was via ROKU. 4 to 8 seconds faster. The one drawback, and it is for product safety, is that the TV has noticeable tilt to the back. That way if it is going to tip it will just hit the way. It bothered me at first but now I am used to it.

I upgraded from a 60" Sony Bravia that was about 7 years old. I was originally looking at the new Sony A9G 77" OLED but decided that this LG was a better option due to the gaming features. I need to have a a tv that would maximize the potential of the Xbox Series X and the PS5. Once I realized that this TV was clearly a better choice because of the 4 HDMI 2.1 ports and several other gaming feature it was a no brainer. The picture is definitely the best that i've ever seen. There is some glare if you have it in a bright room but the brightness of the TV really helps to hide it. The magic remote does take some getting used to but its kinda cool once you do. The sound quality is ok but it really depends on whats playing on the TV. I was able to transport the standing up and diagonal in the bed of my 5'7" truck. The box length was about 82" long so be prepared for that on pickup or have it delivered. I did purchase the 5 yr Geek Squad Protection so I dont have to worry about the risk of Burn-in in the near future. Its quite an investment but 100% worth it depending on where you are going to put the TV and how you are going to use it.

Easy to use. Great quality. Works great with my Bose sound bar. I’m never going to a movie theater again, no need. Works great with X Box too. I would recommend that you hire the geek squad to install it. I installed it myself. I literally had nightmares about dropping it. OLED has true black pixels. Can’t see your hand in front of your face black. I was a Samsung guy. You could navigate your way out of cave with Samsung black. The salesman that showed me this helped me choose the LG.

Great TV for streaming and video games

I’ve had this tv for about a month now. I’ve streamed tv shows and movies from an Apple 4K tv. I’ve played video games on from a PS4 and it’s awesome. The biggest concern people have with a OLED is burn in. I’ve experienced none even after a few hours of watching a news channel, football game or video game. I was a loyal plasma tv owner for a long time and OLED is a LOT better at avoiding image retention. Another issue people have is the brightness of OLED. I have this tv in a room that’s in daylight and it’s been plenty bright to overcome the sunlight. It’s not LED bright but plenty bright and HDR looks great in movies and video. As far as negatives, of course the price is the top one. It’s expensive but by far the best tv for future proofing your purchase. The only minor gripe I have is the audio goes in and out every so often with the Apple TV. I’ve seen others have had the same issue with the ATV and this tv. Turning the tv off and back on resolves the issue. I think it’s an Apple TV issue since my PS4 and Xbox S have had no issues. If you do plan on playing consecutive hours and hours of video games or 24hr news channels, you might get a different result with burn in? Overall I think I’m a typical user, a little bit of streaming tv, movies and video games. I’ve been waiting for an OLED tv a long time and the tv doesn’t disappoint. I highly recommend this tv.

This is a very nice tv, set up was very easy and the picture is really good. This is replacing an old plasma tv, seems to be just as good and probably better.I'm concerned about burn in which I never thought about with the plasma tv, I might be just paranoid but I'm constantly changing ratio format or expanding the screen when there are bars on the side or news ticker tape on the bottom. Other than that I love this tv and would recommend.

If you are looking at an OLED you are obviously looking for a premium display. I am a self proclaimed AV enthusiast having paid far more than an average consumer for a Pioneer KURO, Samsung Plasma, and an LG 65" OLED in the past. I just wanted to go big this time, so with two stimulus checks in the bank I ordered this 77" display to become my main TV in our living room. I have to say, it has exceeded every expectation I had going into the process. Best Buy delivered it on time and in perfect condition. Since I had an LG OLED before I more or less had the settings dialed in within minutes of hooking it up. I cannot express enough how important I believe infinite blacks are for contrast and picture quality. You can find sets that will go brighter but that can be impractical if it makes the picture fatiguing after a short while. If you have reasonable light control for your room, this TV will blow you away for UHD Dolby Digital source material. It's easily the absolute I use an AppleTV 4k and a Panasonic UHD Disk player for sources. It does upscale lower res disks and/or streamed material, but it really shines with native UHD sources. I do not use the smart apps and all my sources are switched using a Marantz receiver, so I can't speak to those apps. I only use one HDMI cable to connect the panel to the receiver. I found the 77" size is perfect for us. We've gotten used to the size now so if we were to see a 65" panel it might look small in perspective. But one you go big you can never go back.

Being one of the first to try this with a 3000 series Nvidia card it was a bit of a pain. LG released firmware that fixed about 90% of the problems and I am sure they will address the rest before the next gen consoles arrive. The pictures is very good, intense HDR and DV with near perfect blacks. This is a great tv for gaming and PC gaming. It is so great for PC gaming. If this is your intention, don't look elsewhere.

Coming from a 2016 model - the B6, this CX is a pretty big improvement across the board. Has many future proof features such as HDMI 2.1, freesync and gsync support, in addition to support for all 3 major forms of HDR. The CX also sports a 1ms response time in gaming mode. All this adds up to making it the perfect companion for the new Xbox or PlayStation. The price is a bit steep - even on sale, but it’s totally worth it.

The 77" CX OLED TV is amazing! The blacks are incredible, especially in movies and TV series in space. I mounted this in a remodeled basement and my friends are incredibly jealous. I feel like my basement is like a movie theater. I purchased a 65" C1 upstairs because I was so happy with this TV. No wonder it is considered the best OLED TV on the market.

I did a ton of research before I bought this TV, and I wanted OLED because of the black levels, contrast, and pixel response. However, I was terrified that it wouldn’t be bright enough because my living room has four large, south-facing windows and one large sliding glass door (TV faces west), and every single TV reviewer pounds in your head “if you are watching in a bright room, go LED or QLED.” I can confidently say that the brightness concerns for OLED are way overblown. I have not once thought this TV isn’t bright enough to watch during the day and I almost never close my blinds in the living room. It is as bright as a QLED/LED? No. Will the brightness level ever bother the vast majority or people? Absolutely not. You might have to think twice if have a whole host of windows that get sun all day and your TV is directly facing those windows, but otherwise, buy OLED. It’s worth the money, it’s bright enough, and you’ll never want to watch an LED television again. The only downside is that I now hate the LED in my bedroom.

Absolutely incredible. Upgraded my 4 year old 4K 65” curved Samsung... I thought that was impressive with a good 4K feed... the OLED technology blows the Samsung out of the water. Not even comparable. Pitch black darks, crisp and bright lights. The HDR is amazing. I was slightly concerned it wouldn’t be bright enough but even with the blinds pulled open in the middle of the day it’s not only enjoyable but still highly impressive. The screen (I believe made of glass) does reflect lights in a mirror style reflection but again is more than manageable (or just turn off the lights.) The remote is of high quality and let’s you know you purchased a top of the line tv, (unlike spending 2k on the Samsung to have a garbage remote where the power button wouldn’t function half the time.) The smart interface took a bit to get used to, but now I highly prefer it over the Samsung and even my Apple TV. I have a Bose SoundTouch 300 with acoustimass sub as well as the rear satellite speaker connected via ARC. The combination of the Samsung and ARC connected Bose sound bar always gave me connection problems to the point I’d just turn it off. The CX connected to the Bose works seamlessly. Don’t get me wrong, It’s an expensive set but if you enjoy 4K content, movies or gaming this TV can not be beat. My younger brother has a CX in 55” and tells me he catches himself in awe watching something of zero interest just because it looks that good. There’s a reason the C9 was the best tv last year and why the CX is the best this year.

I have always been more of a high quality but "bang for the buck" consumer. I would take a small trade off in picture quality in order to have a good all around display at a larger size. I really did not consider OLED because of price per size ratio and a fear of burn-in which I had experienced on a TV I saw in a store a few years ago that looked horrible. However, every time we went to Best Buy and saw these TVs, we were always in awe. When the 77' CX reduced in price and I read countless posts that burn in is pretty much in check, I finally could not pass up the chance and I am glad I did. Because of the OLED contrast and individual pixel lighting, the picture has a 3D dimensionality that cannot be duplicated by an OLED I have seen so far. We watch a lot of movies in a dark room and this also is as close to real cinema experience as I have ever seen short of my past projectors from Epson and Sony. I replaced an 85" display with this TV and I can say we have not missed the difference in real estate at all. It is so good that it puts a smile on your face when watching- especially a 4K video or movie.

I really struggled with spending this much on a tv. But after getting it home and setup up which was incredibly simple, the price hasn't crossed my mind. It's a pricey piece, but the value is there. Couldn't be happier with the picture. Depth of color, contrast, pure blacks, and vibrancy are amazing.
