Pros: Fantastic picture (stunning actually) Slim wall hugging design Lots of inputs Cons: Some reflection distortion on the screen in corners - more noticeable when screen is off. Picture is not distorted, just the plastic cover on the panel. Noticeable but not enough to be annoying in use. You have to agree to LG monitoring your viewing history if you want to use any of their content as well as the downloadable apps (e.g. VUDU). Seems rather draconian. Interface and remote are a little clunky and cumbersome to use but you get used to it after a while. Also a little slow to load. I use this TV mostly for movies from a UHD bluray/streamer so not an issue most of the time. General comments: I have a couple of 55" CX models from last year. Picture on the G1 is noticeably better, but not knock your socks off better. It still is amazing though on HDR content. I use the cinematic movie maker mode. Wondering how much professional calibration would improve the picture. The ATSC 3.0 tuner seems to work ok. Really hard to know since even the stations that broadcast in 3.0 (4k) upscale a lot of content. There's very little native 4k content broadcast today, but hopefully it increases in the future. Would recommend professional installation as the cable locations coming out of the wall are fairly precise to get the TV to mount flat against the wall. Could be a challenge if you have a non-standard wall (e.g. older house) that doesn't have studs on 16" centers. Rated sound quality 3* as it's not very good, but who uses built-in speakers in a $4000 TV?

Some of the expert reviews are great but then other our saying it’s not a big jump over the gx or cx.. this is just my opinion but I just had the 77 inch cx and because of the reviews I was worried to upgrade thinking it’s probably not a noticeable upgrade but now that I received the G1 I honestly have no clue what some of the reviews are saying … you can see an immediate difference in HD, 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision … I watched the exact same material on both TVs with the same source and everything is much clearer and detailed …. Now all the talk on the screen being brighter is maybe less noticeable … but you will still see a big difference and it feels like a huge upgrade so I’m ultimately glad I sold the CX and upgraded .. One more thing … if your thinking about buying the 77 inch C1 over the G1 the price difference is I believe 800 …. But remember now the G1 comes with a free warranty for 5 years from lg .. I believe a 5 year warranty on the C1 from Best Buy is 800 so my as well get the G1 with warranty for free and the better tv for basically the same price only if you are getting the warranty …. I’ve owned 4 oleds and too me this is the biggest jump in quality from year to year and I didn’t even get into all the cool gaming features.

Amazing picture, nice design. A few quirks. No amc+ app. Remote is helpful but takes some getting used to. Bummer there is no backlight on the remote. Also, home and back buttons are opposite of fire remotes and some others so you may find yourself often pushing the wrong button by accident.

Well that saying is true…… once you go OLED you will never go back to LED or QLED TV. I am long time Panasonic plasma TV fan and wow OLED IS GREAT Wow picture quality is fantastic even on crappy cable TV. As for HDR even better. My first LG TV as i am a Sony Fan i just couldn’t justify cost on Sony A90j. A80j yes the upscaling is a little better than the G1 but nothing to worry about. Build quality is superior on G1 vs A80j I really love this TV and the quality very good. Will professionally calibrate the G1 to make it a litte more better than it is Look i get people complain about OLED brightness and honestly way not an issue with this panel in day time viewing

The best TV I have ever owned. I take film-watching very seriously and this 77" TV, sitting 8-10 feet in front of me, gets seriously close to a theatrical experience. The way it handles light and dark aspects of the picture in the same frame, representing the detail of both flawlessly is something I haven't experienced before. I've been purchasing 4K UHD Blu-rays for the past year or so now, just waiting to test them. It's a new experience. I use with an AppleTV and the 4K deck, so I can't comment to LG's interface, but the menus offer a solid amount of image and sound tweaking which are much appreciated. The physical design of the set it top notch too. Nothing distracting, just screen. Definitely worth the investment.

The LG C1 (non gallery) is rated on all the reputable review sites as the best TV ever tested, and all agree that this TV is an upgrade on that due to the new Evo panel. It's a bit of a specialized item, since the main difference between the G1 (gallery, this TV) and the C1 is the ultra slim mounting profile. It's not necessary in all situations, and completely wasted if you're using a built-in cabinet or recessed area. It can be difficult to mount since the wires have to be run in a very specific way, but once it's on the wall it's incredible! Several of our friends have bought this TV after seeing ours because it's a dramatic design. The picture is best in class and it has all the smart features/apps that you would ever need.

The visual is excellent. The self lit fixel is a game changer. The black and white colors are explicit. The design and the thin body of the tv makes it a good appliance and decor in one.

Really like the way the LG sits flush to the wall and the picture frame look as advertised. If your mounting yourself it will be an adjustment from the traditional mounts we are used to. It took a bit to get it leveled and would suggest having the experts mount it after having gone through the process on my own. I have traditionally owned Samsung and ventured outside my box to go LG this time around. The OS is a learning curve and I do miss some of the integrations with everything Apple that I have. Also to note, I did purchase the latest sound bar, sub and rear speakers by LG to go with the TV which made a big difference in sound quality.

The tv is the biggest and most expensive I have ever bought so I was a bit worried at first. Well let me say, the picture is absolutely amazing. I was watching a movie with a bunch of text in the movie and with the Oled, it was crystal clear. I am not a Gamer but I do watch a lot of movies and I notice how bright the scenes will look and perfectly dark. I came from a Sony and when there was text on the screen I couldn't read it as it was no where as clear as this tv is. This Evo definitely is worth the extra few hundred dollars as it's brighter, and a better warranty.

I upgraded from a 55" C7 to a 77" G1. The picture is amazing and and is a 5/5. The question is if the rest is also up to par. For one, the speakers are quite good for being TV speakers. I don't have to rely on an external system for simple TV news watching. The OS is probably a 3 or 4 stars. I can see why people say it's sluggish, because it can be sometimes. But if you let it load, especially on TV power up, it gets the job done. I did the flush mount with the provided mount and love the look. Overall this is a five star TV.

Before buying this TV, make sure you have a recessed electrical outlet. The TV is flush with wall and is made to look like a painting on the wall. Once you get it steup, you'll definitely be amazed though - the picture quality and contrast are incredible! The sound quality is also pretty good and sounds rich - better than you would expect from a TV that's so thin like this one. This is the absolutely the best OLED TV you can buy. It's definity not cheap by any means but it's totally worth the money. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new TV!

Wow. What a great TV. We installed this in our main living area and absolutely love this TV. There is medium light in this room during the day and very dark at night. It is easy to access and sign in to all applications, the TV is easy to use and the sound is good. The picture itself is absolutely stunning. The OLED gallery is nice too, to have on during dinner, when visiting or to just break up having the TV on.

I absolutely LOVE this tv! Best one I've ever had. It is worth the money if you can afford it. I had the Sony 80F and returned it for this. Lots better. I am a gamer too, so this tv is even more special. Easy to use, looks amazing. Couldn't be happer! It's very future proof and one of the best purchases I've made. Also the update lets you play at 120hz with dolby vision on an Xbox series X.

The TV is nothing short of amazing, the picture quality, silky smooth framerates, and the colors just blow away my previous Sony 4k LED. Trying to navigate some of the built in channels can be frustrating since there doesn't seem to be any easy way to get out of them once you're in, and labeling the HDMI ports is frustrating as well. That being said, Dune was just gorgeous. I would highly recommend this to anyone who can afford it. Money well spent.

Holy frikn Moly. This TV is phenomenal!!! Impeccable picture quality. Disregard the reviews that slam this TV for the undulations when it’s powered off. We have purchased 3 LG OLED TVs over the years and they all have this characteristic. There is absolutely no distortion whatsoever on any of them when it’s actually on and displaying. This TV is absolutely STUNNING! Very noticeable improvement in brightness for OLED tech. Treat yourself to this one!

First 4K and first OLED TV. Yes it’s basically the same TV as the C1, but I wanted to splurge with my last TV nearly 10 years old. What a great TV. It’s beautiful on the wall. Great to watch movies and to connect to PS5. My wife got on board after watching 4K Lord of the Rings. The colors and blacks showed off the TV. Now she is looking for any HDR 4K content. Would recommend to anyone.

Love this TV. Picture quality is the most important thing for me. Loved my previous LG OLED, but it had significant screen uniformity issues (most noticeable on dark, gray scenes). I can't see any uniform issues, and the contrast, sharpness, and color are spot on. Excellent for gaming and movies. I don't use the TV speakers, so I have no idea what it sounds like.

OLED picture is incredible but still has a somewhat aggressive automatic brightness limiter when the screen gets to a full screen white. Last LG OLED with Black frame insertion. This feature really only pertains to gamers. Their newer models are brighter but BFI was a necessity for me.
