I previously had an LG C3 Oled and was ready to upgrade to a 77” now that my new house had the space to accomodate a larger TV. I looked at the newer LG C4, and even considered the Sony A95L. After much research I landed on the G4. This TV is amazing! Color accuracy, clarity, brightness, deep blacks…just breathtaking. Plus all of the HDMI ports are 2.1, which was another reason i went with LG. The Sony only has 2 ports that are 2.1, so not future proof. I have an Arc3 Bose soundar as well as an Xbox X and PS5, so the 4 - 2.1 HDMI were a must. This looks amazing hanging on my wall. I went with a different wall bracket vs the one that comes with it. I wamted to be able to swivel and tilt, and the one that comes with it is stationary. Over all this tv rocks, so if you are ok with the hgher price tag, you’ll love this TV. No regrets! OLED is the only way to go.

I bought the 65", but returned it to upgrade to the 77". It's simply incredible. Gets plenty bright, has amazing contrast, works great for all types of media as well as gaming, and the form factor of mounting flush the the wall is great.
The remote could be higher quality, but I like the "wii" type pointer. The Wifi card on mine seems to take a while to connect to my internet router. I think this is the only shortfall of this TV. It lacks the ATSC 3.0 tuner of the previous gen, but hardly anyone watches TV through the airwaves anymore. Tons of LG network channels available.
I should say I had a GX for 4 years and 20k hours of use at least and it still performs amazing with only a few dead pixels along the edge (cant see in movies due to letterbox). Great TVs.

Excellent TV. Unbelievable picture quality and gets bright enough to light up a large living room with lots of windows and direct sunlight. Will need external sound but that is expected and will not affect my rating. Extremely impressed and would buy again.

After almost a year to make this decisions (and returning another competitor's 77" OLED), I am extremely happy with this purchase. Slim look, easy install (thanks to the template), simple setup, and amazingly clear! I performed the recommended initial video setup and followed a few youtube videos for tweaking to my liking. Stock settings will satisfy most people.
Installed in the master bedroom and I have two windows on the opposite wall I was worried about but, they are not an issue at all! Screen will get plenty bright enough. Gaming on Xbox and PS5 is excellent!
As far as sound, I ended up going with a Samsung soundbar system instead of the LG options. I tried LGs recommended setup but found the Samsung to be a better option for watching movies with dolby Atmos.

This was my first purchase of a big screen tv since my Pioneer 50" Plasma in 2006. I am so impressed with the 77" LG OLED panel. The colors are vivid, black level is deep the thin form factor of the tv add to the total package.

Love the color and that it actually allows me to see details in dark / dim movie scenes etc. We use the filmmaker mode and many times the picture is visually striking.
Not crazy about the floating cursor function of the remote.
NOTE: On initial setup the wired ethernet port would not work (WiFi worked fine). Troubleshot cables, verified port with laptop (same port & cable worked fine on previous tv), etc. Called tech support and re-verified all again per their instructions. Set-up an in-house repair appointment. Decided to continue my own troubleshooting and ran into a youtube vid that said to switch the location services from "Auto select" to another country (Canada) and then manually re-set it to USA. Did that and the ethernet connection was fixed / active. Very odd quirk.
On some content when the camera pans left or right at a certain speed and there is a tall vertical object e.g. flag pole etc in the feild of view, the vertical object will visually studder / judder / whatever; it does not transition smoothly across the screen. Not sure if it's due to quality of the content (4k vs 1080P) or something with video processing / screen refresh rate / filmmaker mode / ?? I have notice the same effect on previous tvs.
Overall I'd recommend this TV to friends and family.

The Best OLEDs Can Get

Truly fantastic TV as far as the picture goes - blown away by the brightness, colors, and as far as OLEDs go this is one of the best I've ever seen. The design itself just leaves a bit to be desired, and the lack of a provided stand means that when my open-box order didn't come with the wall mounting hardware I couldn't even take advantage of the slimline mount. I wouldn't gamble on an open box again, but I would absolutely buy one of these new.

The LG G4 is an amazing TV. It is so clear it is just wonderful. On top of this, it is very customizable to your taste. Everything from Filmmaker mode to Vivid to an AI adjusted mode based on your tastes is available. It upscales content well also. It is very bright compared to most OLED TVs. Works well with my LG soundbar, really like the WOW orchestra

I am absolutely floored by how excellent this TV is. The design is super clean, and screams quality. The interface and menus are clean, easy to understand, and fluid. The picture is to die for, absolutely indescribable without seeing it in person. Will not purchase anything but LG from now on! Input lag is nonexistent, and audio passthrough is exceptional as well!

This is the best TV we’ve ever owned.
Perfect picture quality in all types of lighting and the picture says clear and sharp from every angle.
This TV is definitely on the expensive side, but we tend to keep them until something MUCH better comes along. The LG OLED definitely is one of the best TVs on the market.
We’ve had this TV for 6 months. I have not found anything to complain about.

Best TV I have ever purchased and laid eyes on. Visually stunning picture, motion and detail. Watching sports, movie or television is So crisp that I can see sweat, acne, pores and facial defects that were muted with my previous TVs. Have always been a Samsung guy and while they are great TVs, there is a notable difference in quality and picture that is captivating and rich in color.

Tv has a hard time turning on and remote batteries have to be adjusted or taken out for it to finally turn on. The power button underneath doesn’t work either in this situation so not sure if it’s the remote or tv itself. But picture is crazy and blacks are really dark and dulls light reflection on the screen. The sound quality is awesome to and Lg isn’t known for sound quality but this can get loud without going to high. Without the turn on problem it would be a perfect 5 star rating but I gave it 4 for that reason.

The 77 inch is a beast with a great MLA panel. As a PC gamer with a 4090, hooking this up with the gsync and 144hz refresh rate was a dream. Genuinely havent ever seen my games look this good. Apple TV was the next hook up and for the most part things look good, but nothing you can do about some of the bandwidth of streaming services. PS5 is great of course as is the 4k player. Overall, very impressive panel… but im not convinced its $5k worthy. Heres why…. 1) The included wall flush moint has terrible instructions. Firstly the QR codecgor install sent me to the G2 model so presumably they are the same, but none the less this was a confusing start. 2) The mount does not click in. I tried everything and didnt want to break the thing. Its flush against my wall but no magnetic click. There is zero literture on what this means from LG. Is my TV safe? Who knows! 3) the instruction gives you no understanding of how to mount this purely in dry wall, in studs, a combo of both or in concrete. It’s just really poorly done and frankly you’ll be going to reddit to seek your answers… for $5k i expect a much more robust instruction manual with troubleshooting tips along with a mount that can be tweaked and worked to different walls. The other issue here is the sound, you will beed a soundbar but at this price you probably have that good to go. Finally, is it worth just getting the G3 at substantially cheaper? Honestly unless youre a PC gamer and need that little extra juice or that little extra brightness (and HDR is amazing in this thing), im not sure i see where the $1400 to $2000 difference is right now. Persobally id wait for this to go on sale. Great panel but leaves a poor first impression.

Impeccable picture quality, fantastic sound and when adding a lg surround sound system the experience is even greater. Plus, the 5-year system warranty is comforting to have for such a valuable television!

Excellent picture quality, cant beat OLED for inky blacks. This model is super bright. Inadequate brightness has aways been the knock on OLED but not this one. In my family room with the sun, it's still plenty bright. The only knock I have is the sound. Hard to get good sound with a tv this slim. You will need a sound bar.

Upgraded from an LG 65" B7 OLED I bought in 2018 to this 77" G4 OLED. The B7 served me well but even content on Roku looks really good. The brighter panel on the G4 is definitely noticeably sharper. The onboard speakers sound great too compared to the older tv. Worth every penny

I've had the LG 77 G2 for a couple of years and loved it so much that I picked up the LG 77 G4. I have the 2 TVs side by side as my wife and I game together. The G4 is a huge step up if your coming from another TV. About 10% of the time on the G4 is youtube/movies and the other 90% is games. Not a big difference that I can tell compared to the G2. A couple of things stand out, the audio sounds better, even through the soundbar, and the colors seems more real. HDR content is super good looking and there is no issue having my Alienware X17 R2 laptop pushing 4k to it. Even my wife's PC, a 5800x3d/3070 drives it in 2k really well, and 4k not too bad. The Xbox and Switch looks spectacular on it as well. The G series is for Gamers for sure but also the AI makes everything else look and sound better. I'll never go back to a regular PC monitor, the G series is just too good. The only thing I can say negative about the G4 or even the G2(after years of owning it) is that the individual Magic remote functions all work for their individual TVs, EXCEPT the power button. The power button works for both TVs. So turning on/off individual TVs is a pain. I know, it's a terrible thing to have to deal with but it's the only negative thing I can a say about either the G2 or G4.

This display is superb. This made my very cheap friends see the difference a quality display can make. The picture is highly customizable via the AI helper. The brightness overcomes my bright living room situation and there’s the tiniest bit of glare from the giant bay window, which is impressive. The issues come with the HDMI port 2, the eARC port. The picture gets distorted and blurry. I guess this is known issue and LG will replace the product, but what good is a replacement if the replacement has the same issue? The other ports work good, but then you’re left with multiple remotes controlling your devices. This may or may not be an issue for you. It’s a hassle for me. I don’t like the magic remote for controlling everything.
