Well balanced tv
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv is exceptionally bright and great color and detail reproduction. The screen handles reflections well and mutes light sources significantly. The AI features to help improve picture quality and motion work well! This TV replaced an LG C8 which has doubled the peak brightness. I also have a samsung qn90b and i would say they feel about neck and neck with brightness at least visually, maybe not by the actual numbers. The low light handling and shadow detail are excellent and much improved upon. I had considered getting the samsung s95d as i had heard the matte finish does an amazing job eliminating glare, but after further consumer reviews it appeared the off angle sunlight would completely wash out the image. Other than increased color luminosity on the s95d, i feel that the G4 checks more boxes on subtle improvements. Outside of perhaps sony releasing an a95m in the fall or something i think this is the tv to beat!

Best in class, feels like the cinema at home.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LG OLEDs are usually the best you can buy, and the 77" G4 continues that trend. It's by far the brightest OLED I've ever owned, and being 77" everything feels like I'm in the cinema on it. The AI upscaling is a bit strong by default and it makes some 1080p and lower resolution content seem a bit too smooth, but nothing that spending some minutes going through the settings can't fix. Overall I'm very happy with this TV, and will not be looking for any upgrades for a while.

Great Picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV to replace my 14 year old 65” LG. My old TV still has a very good picture but this new 77” LG OLED G4 has the best picture I have seen. I had to adjust the color and brightness to my liking. This is the brightest TV that I have ever seen. The whites jump out at you. I dialed the color and brightness back to get the perfect picture for me. It is amazing.

best tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.best tv ever. The display quality of the Samsung Frame TV is nothing short of impressive. The 4K OLED screen delivers vibrant colors, deep blacks, and stunning clarity. But what does 4K OLED even mean? To be honest, I even had to research it myself. Essentially, the 4K refers to the resolution of the screen, which is 3840 x 2160 pixels. Compared to a Full HD display, a 4K display has four times the resolution for a sharper and more detailed picture. The OLED component is an acronym for “quantum dot light emitting diode.” OLED Quantum dots are tiny semiconductor particles that emit light and enhance both brightness and color accuracy. Put ‘em together, and you’ve got 4K OLED.

Best OLED 2024
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture is crisp, sharp, image processing is second to none! New 144hz gaming support if you’re into gaming (not the main purpose of why I bought the TV as I love movies). The overall build screams of quality with thin metal bezel, high quality backing and all HDMI with eARC capacity. This tv lacks nothing. It is pricey, yes, but top of the line products always do. Would buy again in a heart beat.

Beautiful Screen. Iffy Software and Support
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just bought this to replace a 2018 LG B8. The G4 is a big step up from that B8 and looks absolutely amazing. Works awesome with Xbox Series X gaming and playing 4k Blurays (HDR10 and Dolby Vision) from a Panasonic DP-UB820. -Issues arise with playing Dolby Vision content from movie apps (Dolby Acces app, MoviesAnywhere, Fandango at Home, Microsoft Movies and TV, etc) in that they will not play Dolby Vision content and give a playback error message. Have spent 2.5hrs on "chat" with LG Support. First hour was them not understanding the difference between Vision and Atmos. Second 1.5hr was them trying to blame the Xbox and eventually submitting a case to their software engineers. -Very disappointed to have this issue that the B8 never had. Especially on a flagship tv that costs $3k, has been out for a year, and with one of the most popular game systems. Apparently this is a known issue. At least a known issue once you google it. Hopefully LG gets their software figured out and can make the tv the flagship it's supposed to be.

Posted .Hi there, MontanaP. Thank you for providing your detailed feedback on your new LG G4 OLED TV. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with Dolby Vision playback from movie apps on your Xbox Series X, especially after a lengthy and frustrating support chat.
It is disappointing when a flagship product has software issues, and the fact that you've identified it as a known issue through your own research is a clear indication that a deeper technical fix is needed. We appreciate you taking the time to report this to LG Support's software engineers.

Great tv. Best Buy easy to deal with
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV is beautiful. You’ve done the research and probably know that at this point. Best Buy was easy to deal with and they have competitive pricing. I took the free 24 month financing over the 18 month. There was no incentive to take the 18. Thought that was odd.

Happy customer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Moved up from a 65 inch Sony OLED to a LG 77 inch G4 series. Glad I did. Price increases dramatically when you go up to a 77 inch, but the experience is dramatic. Picture is great, blacks and whites are amazing. This is a first class cinematic experience.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent TV. What can I say that no one else has already stated. I purchased this TV for the 2025 NFL season, and it has blown my expectations away. At this time LG OLED TVs are still #1 in Picture Quality!

Fantastic TV
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from a prior tv that was 6 years old and having reviewed multiple TVs across multiple brands I’m super excited and happy with my OLED purchase. The color and clarity and quality of picture is awesome. It’s bright where it needs to be and highlights the contrast wonderfully as I love my movies but also gaming on this is absolutely beautiful.

Outstanding TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is worth every dime it cost. THe picture is absolutely the best I have seen. I have a LG G2 and the the G4 has far better brightness and the colors pop. I have connected the TV to multiple sources and everything synchs up just fine.

Never Again, LG
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought an LG G4 for the image quality and got a headache instead. The power button died in the second month. LG replaced it and the new unit’s button failed on first use. I now have to reach the physical button on the TV to turn it on or off. WebOS is one of the worst-performing interfaces I’ve used—laggy, clunky, and prone to freezes. The TV also loses its network connection even on Ethernet while every other device in my house stays online. The panel looks great, but the basics are broken. Never again.
