G5 is coming up on 200 hours break-in, just picked up the new Portrait Displays C6HDR5000 meter along with the new updated license which covers all of the 25 models including the G5.
Picture completely changed at 150 hour point, everything became more crisp and detailed, out of the box colors are beautiful.
CalMan Autocal has been an awesome addition along with the VideoForge Pro pattern generator.
AutoCal worked beautifully on my G4, so I'm sure itll be amazing with the new G5.
Very, very happy with the G5, well done LG!!!

Overall, a very impressive TV with incredible brightness and picture quality. One small gripe I have with it, is with it connecting to Xbox consoles. When it switches between HDR and SDR content, the picture can sometimes be lost and a reboot of the console is necessary. Also, DolbyVision on Xbox with this TV does not work quite right as the brightness is terrible, so it has to be disabled on the console.

This is probably the best tv of 2025 all things considered. Probably the number one reason to get it over the G4 is its punchy colors. It gets very bright and will work fine in a bright room. If you are looking for HDR impact this TV is king.

I couldn’t be happier with my LG OLED77G5WUA. The picture quality is stunning and the ultra-thin design looks beautiful on the wall, and the built-in features are fast and intuitive. Easily the best TV I’ve ever owned.

This is a phenomenal TV and the price for Black Friday was amazing. The quality is great and perfect for gaming with PlayStation five as well as Apple TV. I really appreciate how the colors pop and the response time is fast. Unless next year’s model has significantly better upgrades, I would look for this item again, potentially saving more money when the new models come out.

Fantastic television with bright colors and deep blacks. The TV itself is unbelievably thin and the included wall mount was a breeze to install. Don't love the magic remote though.

The picture is nothing short of amazing. Any reports of ‘dithering’ are no concern at all, sorry I spent so much time looking into this non-issue, at least for watching TV and movies, what 99% of us use it for. Spent a little time calibrating but to be honest the settings in FilmMakerMode were mostly spot on. My main hope was for better visibility of dark scenes, like Harry Potter series we here there are very dark scenes, which is perfect now, even when watching in a brighter room with the ambient light sensor. If you’re on the fence, go ahead and pull the trigger on the purchase you will to regret it!

great tv. But, Brian, a manager at the so elgin IL store said that I would get a $500 discount on my $5500 purchase if I just opened a Best Buy credit card. I did so back on 11/23/25 and I still have not received the credit!!!! Don't trust this so elgin store, and I woulnd't ever work with Brian, the manager. I will next contact the corporate office to complain

The Lg G5 and Best Buy store staff get a 5 but the Geek Squad gets a 0. Despite paying to install and set up they came out and said putting it on a stand wasn’t covered-despite my specifying it then left and listing it in transit for 5 days so it couldn’t be rescheduled. Then told, without forewarning they would be at my house when I wasn’t there but never showed and listing that it was done but they went to a different house!! Best Buy tv sales people apologized profusely and returned my money

I'm a die hard Samsung consumer for decades now. BUT, this LG blows our minds. Just plug it in & you have true 4K. There are also gorgeous 16K videos on YouTube that are stunning also. I bought the separate TV stand for it. The stand makes the TV screen go back a little, which concerned me, but you don't even notice it when you're watching. This TV is pure quality & a feast for the eyes!

I read a ton of reviews and watched a lot of video reviews on this TV and competitors. I am very satisfied with my decision. The picture is amazing. I watch streaming shows and more hockey than ever now. The picture watching hockey on Hulu is beautiful. Highly recommended.

It is an amazing TV. Crystal clear picture. The app selection interface is just a touch slow sometimes but other than that very amazing product.
The TV mount that comes with it can be slightly quirky at first, as it was a bit difficult to figure out how to get it completely flat on the wall but you will figure it out. the person who sold it to me did not tell me it came with a TV mount so I bought an extra one.

Was in a store to Look at the C5 and this was next to it. All i can say is wow. Glade i purchased the G5, so much brighter. Some say that you wont notice in a home but after time Oled can dim, so with the G5 you have a lot of Brightness to spare, only have mine at 85 brightness

THIS IS THE ONE! We have been looking at upgrading from our C OLED from years ago (which mind you had no issues with) and once the new G5 released, I had to pull the trigger and boy am I glad I did! Being a gamer and avid move watcher, the quality of filmmaker mode (to watch movies how the producers wanted them to be watched) and the game mode (specifically for gaming) truly is breath-taking and has changed how we enjoy using the tv for the better. A must have for any night-time gamer in a black-out room!!! Get ready to be blown away!! Not to mention, the FIRE in movies is INSANE!! Truly unlike any other! You will not be disappointed!

Replacing my LG 77" C3, the notably superior LG 77" G5 offers impeccable picture quality. Recent updates not only fixed the reported issues with Dolby Vision and HDR10, but also added a new "Near Black Detail" picture selection that allows you to compensate for raised or crushed blacks. Although both HDR settings still run characteristically dark, they are brighter overall, and the screen's surface is tinted to better block reflections from windows or lights without sacrificing picture color and quality. Regardless of content (streaming, blu-ray, 4K, etc.) this TV seems to actually push towards achieving the best picture possible, often improving otherwise mundane video content. (Note on the TV's Sound Quality rating: I use an external receiver and Dolby Atmos system, defeating a proper evaluation of the TV's sound quality.)
