Excellent TV we are very happy with it. The amount of apps that are preloaded are great, easy to navigate. I got rid of subscription TV awhile ago and use an outdoor antenna. Please don't judge me for that but the amount of free movies and other entertainment apps are good enough for me. Only down side so far is trying to get a web browser that works. But otherwise a great TV. I bought it on black Friday and I got a great deal. I paired it up with a Sonos sound system and turned my room into a mini Dolby theater,

I had a Samsung prior to my LG purchase. The LG is so much better in so many ways (although my Samsung was great until it wasn’t). Only negative I have to say is that the TV didn’t come with an operating manual. Great TV!!

Awesome TV. Picture quality is excellent. Look like sitting in the theater and watching the movie. The sound bar made a big difference in sound quality.

Great picture. I am so glad I made this purchase. This has become my go to for all sports and gaming. Oh yeah. Had a movie night and it was like being in the theater with my sound bar system.

Excellent picture quality. I preferred this 83” OLED to mini LED models for picture quality. I couldn’t be happier once optimized the settings after watching a few YouTube videos for set up. About 80% of the time I watch sporting events. 4K picture is awesome. This replaced an 80” Vizio TV. I use the optical audio output into my 2 channel high end DAC for excellent sound quality. Highly recommened.

This is 'the' TV to get if you're looking for an OLED. I purchased the 83" and it's a fantastic viewing experience. The colors pop and the blackness is perfection. That is what makes movies so special, especially at night. In daytime, the reflections are non-existent with its brightness. This is much brighter than the B series, so if using in a family room, you will want a C or G series LG. If this is in your price realm, you won't be disappointed. The reviews had this on-par with the G4 flagship series from last year.

The television is very nice but I had a lot of difficulty after the purchase. First, while I was a Geek Squad member, I was charged $179.99 for "basic TV mn" and $69.99 for "add on Smart TV configuration" AND $49.99 for "Add on Video devise set-up". I was told by the salesman that they would install the TV and go over everything so that you will know all of the features. I told him that I had purchased a 6 piece Sonos system and it was not synch with my 75" Sony TV that the 83" LG OLED was replacing. He said that the installer would make sure that the Sonos system was in synch.
When the installers got to my place, they told me that they are allotted 35 minutes for the install. When they took down the 75" Sony, they informed me that it would be a better install if they removed my existing bracket and use one he has on the truck for $179.99. They mounted the TV, moved the Sony into the hallway around the corner (the installer said she had a bad back), and left.
I went to the Best Buy where I purchased the LG OLED and told them that I felt something was wrong. The Home Theater manager looked up my account and told me that he would "comp" me a Geek Squad 55 minute consultation to go over the features, synch my Sonos system and answer any questions that i had. He came out, synched the Sonos system, did some adjustments (not explaining what he did) and signed off on his consultation asking me if we had any questions. As a side note, he brought somebody with him who did not add anything to the consultation, barely spoke English, and fell asleep on my leather chair. I wasn't sure if he was a trainee, but he wasn't a very good representative of Best Buy.
Hi, Bobl. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG TV (OLED83C5PUA) model. We understand the importance of having a smooth setup process—especially when you’re integrating a premium TV with an existing audio system like your Sonos setup. It’s great to hear that you’re enjoying the television itself, even though the post‑purchase experience didn’t unfold the way you expected.
To optimize your unit, ensure eARC is enabled for better audio sync with your Sonos system. Check this by navigating to Settings > All Settings > Sound > Advanced Settings > HDMI Input Audio Format, and confirm the HDMI port connected to your Sonos is set to eARC. This ensures stable audio passthrough and enhances performance. For more guidance, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-OLED83C5PUA.AUS. We're happy to assist you directly. Please email us at [email protected] for further support to ensure your setup works as desired. ^Juvy
