The speakers on the tv aren’t very loud . I need to now research and invest in something that’ll produce sound attachment so I can enjoy the tv. . I like the picture on the tv. It’s very clear. Navigating the tv has several control settings like network settings.. it’s a long process to keep juggling typing in Wi-Fi information . I noticed that it didn’t save it when I put it on before. Having Apple TV isn’t necessary since it has the capability to log in on the tv amongst several other applications. I appreciate being able to have this tv . Wish that the brightness setting didn’t involve several steps on the remote.

Embarrassing gray uniformity otherwise great

Excellent color quality and brightness especially in SDR. Great viewing angles due to the ips screen. Blooming is controlled great for an IPS panel the one thing you need to do is adjust the local dimming setting from the default of low to medium in SDR and high for HDR content. Unfortunately gray uniformity on my unit was abismal and it had a terrible dirty screen effect that shouldn't exist in this price class, as a result I returned mine. Also disappointing that LG went with the a7 rather than the a9 processor on their flagship LCD tv. Ultimately not sure if I will buy another one because I don't know if I got unlucky with my unit or if this is indicative of gray uniformity across the board on this tv, in any event if picture quality matters most, sacrifice the size and purchase an LG C1 77" instead.

Great alternative to OLED

This is a very capable TV with may features and the Black Levels are excellent.
Here's the deal, Do not compare this to an OLED, its not, and mostly not intended to be. It's as close as you can get for the price point. If you want OLED, pay the price. I actually have 2 OLED's (77, 65), but as you get into the 83-88 range for OLED, it gets down to what do you really want to spend for entertainment,
For the money, the size (86) and the features and clarity, this is a GREAT value. Now that the price has dropped, its more palatable on the wallet (or purse!) ... Try it, you'll like it !

This is an extremely capable TV. The picture is one the the brightest I have ever seen and the color is amazing. The black are also very good. You will have to take some time to adjust the picture settings to your liking. If you want the perfect blacks of an OLED, this TV might not be for you; however, if you want a bright TV with beautiful color and good blacks, this is the ticket.

Big TV in Living Room

The TV itself is great, very bright and large enough to be viewed across the room. In addition, the installer did an excellent job mounting the TV on the wall so we can view it comfortably closeup or far away. As part of the job, he also moved the current large screen in the living room to the MBR and mounted it on the wall. We very much appreciate his efficient and professional services.

Love the TV but the Geek Squad install was a huge problem. It took me forever to get it installed. But the TV was sooo worth the wait. I recommend it for any space but best picture we found was the basement with no windows....all dark room just like a real theater.

I have owned a samsung q80t, 3xsamsung qn90a, this tv, and a sony x95j. All I can say about this TV is it promises some big things, but doesn't deliver a single one. Samsung and TCL did well with the miniLED tech, LG did not. The first issue with this tv is that you adjust the screen brightness and panel brightness separately. This leads me to believe there is 2 layers. the result is a TV that does not handle darks what so ever. Not even like black crush (which it has plenty of) doesn't handle and uniformity issues, but clarity issues too. Resolution goes down in dark scenes. Shadow detail is not present. Everything looked like a blurry mess and got worse the darker the scenes got. Unless it was a super bright cartoon, everything looked like it was in a smoke filled room. As brightness goes, it does get pretty bright, not as bright as the sony x95 j or the samsung qn90a which are in its price range and class. Outside of that, nothing to speak positive about. color accuracy is horrible, even in dolby vision mode. The slightest bit of off angle viewing makes the picture so much worse, which is supposed to not be the case for an IPS panel like this. My thoughts, has to do with the screen layers. Reflections are horrendous. The tv cannot be watched in a bright or lit room. needs to be only dark. Also, has contrast issues. Go with the sony x95j, it is what I did. Messed with this TV for a little over a week, using professionally reccomended settings. and trying to convince myself otherwise, but it was really bad. Re watched the suicide squad on a different tv, and worlds better. Nice attempt, but doesn't deliver. LG has a lot of work to do here to catch up to other brands in the LED market.
