I am hoping there are better options available. not best buy's fault. just not a great tv.

Local dimming is not done well and very distracting. Blooming is also a problem for this model. Finally, my set suffered from substantial dirty screen effects. This TV will be returned and I will try with something else. As a side note, I also own an LG C1 which is an excellent TV for almost any situation. OLEDs may not get as bright as LED TVs but the quality of the C1 is hard to beat for many TVs. If you can, consider the LG C1, or its subsequent iterations.

It ok 4K TV
