Purchased for my granddaughter, she is very pleased with it's performance, it functions as advertised, it rewrites and writes CD'S with quality results. She has no problems with it at all.

I own multiple computers and had to replace my beloved multimedia desktop. Like many of the newer computers, this one did not have a DVD player/recorder. One of the latest Windows 10 updates wiped out my ability to play DVD's on my old computer. Thus this inexpensive DVD writer/player fit the bill. I can move it between my new notebook, another laptop, my desktop & my laptop. Majority of videos can be downloaded or streamed, but the ability to watch a DVD or install a new program from a disc (rather than downloaded) is terrific. It works perfectly & was inexpensive. To quote another commercial "Who could ask for anything more"? Love this product!

This LG product is light weight with high performance features. Connecting the USB to the product allows the user to burn CDs and DVDs quickly and efficiently. .

Works great and looks just like an Apple drive which is a plus if your using with a Mac. Very quiet operation and loads discs nice and sturdy

My new laptop no longer had a cd/dvd writer which is something I use only one or two times a year, but is necessary. This external dvd writer works great and is quick and easy to get started.

Very easy to install and use. Very small size and low profile. Responds well with my Apple equipment. Very pleased so far!

This plug and play drive works perfectly with my imac. No problems connecting, reading discs, or burning to a disc. Highly recommend and is cheaper than the Apple drive. The silver finish matches the imac as well.

I had to return the first lg drive that I bought. The sales associate that was helping me gave me the wrong information and the one that I bought was for installing inside a tower. Best Buy accepted the return with no hassle. This external lg drive was the one I ended up buying. It works great , quiet and compact with no issues. I am now a happy camper.

With none of our computers having a DVD drive anymore we needed to pick one up to view old archived files and cds we receive with files on them. Was very simple to setup with a Windows 10 machine. My only complaint is it's a little loud while spinning to access the DVD contents but works just fine and our computer is off to the side of our desk. You will need a usb extender though if you don't plan to hook it up right next to the computer.

Works great. No setup or problems. It is quiet and fast. I have just used it to install a program on a laptop.

Great slim line CD/DVD reader writer for the money. It works very much like the Apple slim line device. Just plug it into a powered USB outlet on your Mac and you’re off and running, at least with a Mac. I have not used it with a Windows PC yet, but don’t envision any problems. Try it you’ll like it!

I have very good luck with LG products in the past. I decided to buy this product because its portable, does not take a lot of space and the price was reasonable.

I recently bought an iMac and a MacBook and bought the DVD to use with both of them. Everything went flawlessly. It was just “plug and play” with both computers. It is small and thin. The look is a little cheap but it was much cheaper than the Apple drive. It won’t be used that much but it’s there when I need it. Tucked underneath the monitor, it is hardly noticeable. It reads and writes files and video. No fuss, no muss, no problems whatsoever. Just wat I needed.

I had 3 external laptop optical drives that I was using to re-rip my 800+ CD collection and having 1 more drive made a huge difference. Fast, low-power, reliable and worked like a champ after being placed into a high-use environment. I have 2 other LG drives and I've been happy with them. This was on sale at the right time and at the right price.

A perfect product. Swap easily between my Mac and Dell laptops. Works almost silently. Lightweight. Looks good. Suits me just fine.
