Its small burns fast. Wasnt expensive . Can use for external drive. Burns dvds and cds. Ilike it.

Bought this to look at my old DVD's that were filled with files from different items .... we have 100's of them .... the computer we bought didn't have a DVD drive on it so had to get this External one ...it works perfectly and does what is needed for a good price .

My daughter used her high school graduation money and purchased this product to accompany the MacBook Pro with Retina she also purchased for college use. Reasons for the LG - it'll play Blu-Ray whereas the Apple brand will not (as we were told). Very pleased with the size and portability.

Ordered my new HP tower computer with all the features I wanted -- super-fast processor, solid-state drive, good graphic, lots of USB ports -- except one thing I forgot. I'm an old-school PC guy, and it never occurred to me that anybody would build a PC without a removable optical disk feature. Apparently, I've fallen behind the time, because many of them do come that way these days. Anyway, this little drive was an easy fix for my oversight -- plug and play with Windows 10 and no hassle to install or use. Works fine for what I need -- playback of video content on disks, occasional burning of a disk for transfer of data. Five stars.

Works fine for me. I just updated my computer and needed an external DVD. This was my choice and I have not had any problems with it. It's a five star choice for me.

I'm very happy with this slim drive, and over the years, I've found Seagate tech support to be among the best. I do not use the Seagate Dashboard software however, I found it too user unfriendly compared to my old Seagate Manager which is not supported in Windows 10. A helpful Seagate tech person suggested using the back up system that comes with Windows 10, and I like that very much.

I purchased this item because my laptop lacked a dvd player. I use videos to work out and needed something which worked well, was easy to integrate into my system and inexpensive. This product was great. Works great after a year and a half, very portable, lightweight and works great. With many computers lacking dvd players, this is an excellent choice.

I bought this product because my laptop doesn't have a built-in drive. I wanted it mainly to transfer music from my CD's to my laptop. It's easy to install, is slim and lightweight and easy to use. It's perfect for my needs and I'm happy with the purchase.

Fast, Slim, nice addition. However, supplied software is a bait & pay to upgrade to full version. Disappointing you can burn with PowertoGo software without upgrading. And the UPGRADE now adds are bothersome upon starting & closing software.....

Now that DVD players are rarely on laptops I needed to read a DVD for work. This unit simply is as easy as plugging into a USB port and Windows 10 immediately recognized and was able to access the data effortlessly. My college’s now use the device daily as well! Much easier than I thought! Great device!

purchased for use with a Mac Book Pro, this player was easy to use. Just plug into USB, insert DVD and it came up on my screen! Price was not a factor, ease of operation was, although it was half the price of others on the shelf. Operation on TV was just as simple, plug into HDMI, adjust mode to DVD and play!

I love the instructions, which show an illustration of the CD writer being plugged into the laptop. And that's pretty much the extent of the installation. The packaging includes the USB cable, and the cable also powers the unit. Instantly worked with Windows Media Player and iTunes. Also, it was surprisingly small and lightweight. So far, so good.

This DVD/CD drive works fairly well, but it is noisy. I haven't had any issues with it playing a DVD or a CD. I haven't tried writing to it yet, so I don't know how well that works.
