    This USB drive works as expected. I tested it with Blu-ray Discs and DVD's as well. I plugged it into a Windows 10 desktop. Within seconds, the drive was up and running, playing movies with vlc player.

    From time to time I still need to burn Blu-Rays for clients. This does what is expected. Runs a very high rate of successful BD burns when using quality BD's. Did not check against lower end BD's. If you want or need this technology still, this seems to be dependable.

    Has worked very well for ripping DVDs using Handbrake. Have ripped about 150 DVDs without hardware problems with this USB optical drive. Had hoped I could find one that was USB 3.0, but this one (USB 2.0) works well. Have not been able to rip Blu-ray discs yet using Make MKV. It is more likely something I am doing wrong as opposed to a problem with the hardware. But, I am not sure. For reliability and DVD-ripping, this drive gets 5 stars.
