Perfect for transferring movies to plex

Transfer rates extremely fast. And even some minor scratches on dvds/blu-rays didn't effect it.

Easy setup & plays everything I put in it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The hardest part of setting this Blu-Ray DVD up was pulling my PC out so I could reach the rear USB ports (it requires 2, one for data, one for power). The software that comes with it, Cyberlink Power DVD, manages not only my Blu-Ray disks, it also manages my older DVDs--in both this drive and my regular DVD. It's wonderful to be able to enjoy my library of Blu-Ray and regular DVDs again!

Poor Software

The software it comes with is shotty shareware that has installation issues with at least the Surface 3 tablet. I'd only recommend this if you had no other way to access disc media from your computer, especially Blu-Ray media.

Great Drive

My daughter bought one of these first for the same purpose and had such good experiences with it, I also bought one to use with a older Surface and a desktop. My daughter uses hers on a Surface Pro 6. we both get above 40mb/s read speeds.
