    The LG 8x external USB 2.0 is a nice edition to my laptop. It gives us the ability when camping to watch movies when no wifi signal is available. All previous reviews indicated that it is reliable and does a good job downloading files to disc. I recommend this product

    A decent drive for the price. It's a bit slow to load and it does take up 2 USB ports (which sucks when you only have 3) but it serves its purpose and seems like a solid drive. I would recommend it. The software suite that is included is a nice bonus.

    It works, and that is good. Since newer computers and laptops are being sold without DVD discs, or discs of any kind, its now necessary to buy an external one. This one does the job and has not caused any problems. I would have preferred an internal disc player, but that was not an option.

    I was sceptacle about this product because I had bad experiences with LG products in the past however, this surprised me; the quality of the DVD'S are great! The quality of the Blueray DVD'S are pristine. When I play my regular DVD'S, this player enhances the quality, the DVD'S are crystal clear.

    Increasingly, laptops are being shipped without space to insert any sort of DVD/CD, so that means you need an external device. I found this one at a good price and it worked very well with my MacBook Pro. Pictures and sound were great, and it was the next best thing to having a built-in Drive.
