I researched Blu-ray drives for weeks trying to figure out what drive came with playback software. This one DOES! We all know Windows 10 is garbage for movie playback and this solved my issues. I have an HTPC in two rooms with no Blu-ray player. This drive does the trick. Thumps up!

Power hookup for me just needed one port but included diagram shows it may need two so perhaps depends on what you're hooking it up to. I'm using a Lenovo 2-in-1 which I'd expect to not provide enough power so certainly a normal laptop would probably manage as well.

It came with software for regular DVDs but failed to mention that Blu-ray support was separate, however I was able to find a free app for the Mac. After that installed it played great. Perfect quality and no lag.

Mac logo on front of box, however without fairly expensive software you cannot play a blu ray dvd on macbook. The software is not included.
