Ended up Returning it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So I purchased a 2 in1 HP laptop from Best Buy and needed an external CD-ROM to load software onto the new laptop. I went into best buy and was talked into buying this product. I was looking for something I could play Blu-ray disc on and something I could use to load software. I am not the most knowledgeable when it comes to PC's but the sales rep made sense. Got it home, and was able to load my software but could not play Blu-ray disc on my new laptop. The sales person neglected to tell me that windows 10 does not play Blu-ray movies. Apparently windows no longer comes with the software to support playing the movies. So If your looking to play Blu-ray movies your gonna have to find software that will support it or use a regular blu ray player.

Money well spent on an optical drive

I love having an incredibly thin and light laptop, but there are times when I still want to burn a CD or DVD, and the entry level ones aren't worth anything, spend the extra money and get a reliable fast optical drive, that is also very sleek in design.

Works well, installation not as quick as expected

As a bonus, we can connect directly to a tv which I haven't tried yet. Installation wasn't as easy as I expected but it's worked fine after I removed it and installed a second time

Like other users have said is I connected the short USB cable to its own power supply from my phone. I would have preferred USB 3.0. Other than that it works great!
