Great for transferring movies and music. Very fast!

Worked great for connecting to macbook pro 15"retina. However, in order to play blueray you will need a usb hub or will need to replace the dual usb cord with one that will reach the second up port on the other side of the macbook.

This is one of the best rated external read/write machines on the market and it works with just about everything- including reading 3d blu rays. I haven't tried that feature yet but it's one missing from most external hard drives.

I like that it's a plug and play device and that I can pretty much use it with anything that has a USB port. The only thing I don't like is that it needs two (one for power and one for play) USB ports...but it's also a blessing if you are not around a power outlet.

You need two USB slots because it doesn't rely on an external power source other than your computer. Which would be great, except my Macbook has one USB per side. Again, not a big deal, except the connector that comes with this burner isn't long enough to reach around to the other side of the Macbook. I had to use a battery pack and sit it on the table next to the burner to power it. So, this product works but it's a wonky setup for Mac users.

Works great so far. Even with USB connection I have had no problems with playback. I would like to have a longer USB connection to my desktop computer but it's probably designed for a laptop.

Because I don’t have a DVD player with my computer I decided to purchase a external usb 2.0 blu-ray . Good move I’m loving it.

The drive hooks up easily, kinda stinks that it uses 2 USB ports but I guess they are all that way. My laptop with Windows 10 picked it up no problem. It reads fast and doesn't make too much noise. I've burned a couple of DVDs with no issues, have no tried burning a BD disk yet.

My daughter wanted to be able to watch movies on her laptop and this is exactly what she needed to do so. Only thing is I think it could be a bit better priced to match competitors but still pleased with purchase

I found the drive to be of excellent quality and value, as a substitute for the internal drive in my aged HP laptop.

Love it. Now I can see all the weird videos in private!

Love this thing! I have a microsoft surface pro original (yes old) and it has no CD/DVD drivers. So I bought this and it worked out great for school, teaching, giving presentations, and so forth. Love it!

Wasn't cheap, but has been workings wonderfully on my desktop, It takes up two of my USB ports.. (If your on a laptop with limited number of ports, it might be an issue.)

Purchased this LG Blu ray player on recommendation and couldn't be happier . Only downside is with Mac OS X you need to download additional software to playback Blu-ray discs ... Besides the dongle life with the new MacBook pros everything else is peachy !

Works as it should. Install was seemless. Software suite that comes with it is CyberLink

It is really helpful when the staff actually listens to what you want to do with a piece of tech. It only took three trips and three different associates to get what I needed.

You need a extension for a usb plug if you have ports on different side of you laptop. They needed to make the cable with one side about 15 inches longer than the other side but the player itself is good and easy to connect to laptop.
