I’m using this to load all my DVDs and Blu-Rays into a Digital File. This works for what I’m trying to do. Thanks Hunter at the Greenwood Store for all the help!

It's amazing that such a small piece of technology can do such big things.....I don't watch television but do like to watch videos. This not only plays movies, it will write CD/DVDs for me. I've a lot of catching up to do from my thumbdrive!

First, you should know I've never used this for recording, only playback, but it's been flawless for that. Plug it in, computer recognizes it, and off you go! My only complaint is the very short usb cable, not even long enough to put the drive on top of the mini tower.

Nice self contained drive. Works as described. Thin design makes it easy to set next to my laptop while watching a movie. Works very nicely. Virtually silent and works quickly. I would buy this again if I needed to.

Wish it was bigger in size like the older versions and in my PC instead of on the table but it works really well

For those of us left who still need to burn DVDs and Blu-ray Discs, this featherweight accessory does the job. I worry about when the door is open as it is made minimally. So far, so good though.

The drive works well for commercial Blue Ray and DVD discs. I had trouble getting it to recognize some of my video discs made by other pc's. The disc reader recognizes regular data discs, but there must be something missing in one of the file formats or header definitions or something. I wound up having to use another dvd reader to recognize my pc video dvd's but I kept the drive because of its Blue Ray capability.

This player works as expected. Only issues I found was the ever=annoying power down time-out which you can't adjust. The app list is a bit short and missing newer services like Disney+. Hopefully these get fixed soon.

This drive is a good unit, pretty much plug & play, just have to install software if using Blu-Ray. I had some issues with a particular Netflix disc, but I think it was the disc, not the player. Haven't used it for burning yet.

good sturdy laptop. a bit heavy and has a power brick but overall a very nice laptop

What'cha gonna do when you need a disc player for most all disc player/recorder?? What'cha gonna when your new computer is missing this "essential" part? Easy. Buy this device and keep on rolling! It has so much capability you'll find uses daily!

It is a good drive for what it was bought for movie playback on an optical drive less laptop. You have to install the PowerDvD software first. It doesn't seem to be vary versital as I was not able to use it on the TV.

Took quite some time to get the device installed on my laptop. Cant just put in a DVD to watch and expect it to popup and play like a normal DVD player. Ease of use gets rated a 3 out of 5.

Bought these for my two college kids laptops upon recommendation by the Best Buy sales guy. I also looked on other computer web sites before finalizing the sale. They couldn't be happier!!! Just plug and play! Thanks Best Buy!!! and of course LG!!!

It works great on my computer, and was a replacement for one that got dropped too many times. Good idea to put it somewhere it doesn't get knocked off. Nice and simple. I've never actually used the burning features.

An old computer I have managed to keep running for almost 20 years now is so old I cannot buy an internal BR DVD player for it anymore. This external USB-connected device resolved the issue.

My new laptop didn't have a place to insert discs which made purchasing one of these necessary. It is a quality piece of hardware and is incredibly stylish. I am glad I shelled out the few extra dollars for this model.
