This device works like expected. My only disappointment is that it requires 2 USB ports due to needing power instead of using a USB 3.0 cord. Not sure why they would do that or of all of them are that way but......

I've had the drive for over three years now and I'm impressed that it still works great after years of traveling around in my laptop bag. Very handy if you need to plug a DVD drive in somewhere. If it ever breaks, I'll buy another one just like it!

Solid product operates as expected. A bit pricey, but consistent with other vendors and products for an external blu-ray player.

Great Blu-ray portable player. Set up was a breeze! This is a great alternative to buying a standalone Blu-Ray Machine.

Not a single problem with anything I've burnt to either 25G or 50G BDR or BDRE. This is awesome for creating movie discs with menus - all have played fine on my BD player. Not a single failed burn yet. I've been using this for about 2 months. Great deal!

I had to purchase this item for my new Asus laptop. I would recommend this item to anyone that requires an external drive. i was able to pack it into my luggage without any issues. It is very slim in design.

The only downside I see with this drive is that it is only USB 2.0 but the read speed of the drive wouldn’t take advantage of USB 3.0 anyway so that’s really not a problem. It does take up 2 USB Ports.

Works well to burn double-layer Blu-Rays. Takes a while but that is to be expected. Note that it requires two USB ports (the second provides additional power).

Read the reviews and was hesitant at first but I can tell you I have had no problems as some other reviewers have had. I mainly got this to be able to add my Blu Rays to my digital library and it worked perfectly. Fast speed, pretty quiet. No complaints.

I picked this drive up to connect to my MacBook Pro for Bootcamp and mac OS usage. I can honestly say this drive meets my exceptions. It is silent, and works as expected (when the required software is loaded. )

Needed an external DVD drive to help convert old backs for cloud storage. Worked perfectly, windows didnt even need a driver.

This Blu-ray drive works out of the box no drivers need for a Mac (used with a MacbookPro 8,2). The only downside is that it requires two usb ports. This may frustrate those with limited or specialized ports.

For its value I supposed it would be a higher quality product, I am using it on a MacBook Pro 2018, it is very fast. Disappointed with this product, so far I have read only cd and it is slow, U $ S79, I have paid for this product that is not really worth it, as in this momneto I need it quite a lot I have no opportunity to make use of the return to Best Buy, there is also no better than this in existence in the store.

LG External Blu-Ray Disc Rewriter is a must to have if your laptop doesn't have a disc drive. The external Blu-Ray Disc Rewriter is one of the best purchasing I've made.
