I hooked it up to my Mac and it really messed up my ability to do things, so I can only use it when I'm not working on my computer. Don't know if this problem is just specific to me or if this is a common complaint.

It will use two USB ports if you don’t have the new usb type port. Writes fast, reads fast. Moving all raw video to blu ray.

Afro a few ext bucks you get the bluray capability. Worth it especially if you have high resolution laptop screen

Software installation was easy and the player works great. Haven't had any problems using it.
