the new computer I bought did not come with a disc drive installed. bought this one and it was easy to connect by way of USB and it works great.

Good product i found a hard to install thou and it using 2 USB ports is not easy for installation

A fantastic storage for backup and everyday use. The price of storage is dropping fast and this one delivers the desired results.

LG Bluray burner is working great and i was able to write to Blu-ray discs and did not face any issues so far.

It works as advertised, no issues. For power-users: I was able to flash the drive successfully with LibreDrive and it is "UHD friendly."

the unit works great. the slim design does not take up excess space on my desk. I would recommend this player to friends.

Transfered my existing music collection from CD format to new computer's library. Then put this collection on my MP3. This was my solution to the computer not having a built-in external drive.

needed a blu-ray drive for laptop and this did it, it handled everything I through at it and more. Only down side it is only USB 2.0 and not USB 3.0.

I only would have preferred this would have been a 3.0 instead of 2.0 but other than that you should like it.

Bought this to replace a 5 yr old version of the same reader. It works great and seems to be the best value for a Blu-ray reader available.

Nothing against the product but I’d prefer to have the drive in my tower then having to run it threw usb but is a great product

I bought this for my server to rip my bluray collection to my Plex app. it does the job very well, no issues what so ever even tho its usb it still works great.

Since pretty much all laptops are missing optical drives this is a great work around. If you want to play DVD's youll need to get player software through.

Works well with a laptop. I was able to connect it to a Surface Pro 3, but I needed an external power source. The single USB on a Surface Pro is not enough to power this unit.

So far, so good. No complaints, not yet anyway. I've even use it to connect direct to music equipment (like Akai sampler).

I bought this because I was going out of town for awhile and wanted to play blurays on my laptop.Best but recommend this model but it's not very good.I mean your able to set it up it does play the movies.But the device is lowed to the point it's hard to ignore it.Plus every time I wanted to play it after shutting down the computer so had to eject the disc and put it back in for the laptop to read the blu ray.Not as easy use as I would like.

Not the fastest drive in the world. But it holds a whole lot more than a DVD. I purchased this to store Drive Images for work. Works good.

Overall pleasingly satisfied with this product, perfect for laptop's without an internal drive

it works, I haven't tried burning anything yet, but I can tell its a high quality product from the functions I've explored thus far, and its feel.

If you laptop did not come with a disk drive. This might make up for it. LG products are to go for item!
