That is basically true. My DVD failed, but open source VLC media player worked well. Mechanically it worked well. After 6 weeks it stopped working. I contacted LG today and was bounced around 6 times and kept getting disconnected and having to repeat info each time. It is the worst customer help experience I've ever had. If I had a $2000 TV I'm sure it would have been different. The eject button stopped working and couldn't eject it from software like I did initially and light on front stopped working. I'm very technical and bought many similar products over the years. Best Buy wouldn't help because it was one week from return date.

Easy setup and flawless playback
