We had an LG burner. Not supposed to work on Macs but it did for a while. Finally had to get this one. Based on Store employee recommendation, we selected this one over others in store. Seems this unit is slow. It does work with the Mac iDVD and/or iLife. Not sure about iMovie though. Too soon to tell if we are completely satisfied.

needed a drive to play my discs on my laptop, so this fit the bill nicely.

Worked extremely well right out of the box which was a very welcome situation given the current standard of not including an optical drive in many of today's laptops.

It works great I prefer internal but the laptop my wife wanted didn't have one but it does everything it needs to do

I bought this too convert all my physical copies of DVDs to digital format. Please note, ripping software is needed and must be obtained separately. It does work great, for the purposes that I am using it for. However it also stopped working just recently, but within the warranty period...I'm sure it is just my unit, but will update this review once I exchange my unit for another....To be continued

This drive is very thin and convenient cause many computers nowadays don't have any burners. I like this product and I'm very happy with the purchase

Connected the external drive to a HP laptop. While I needed to download drivers, once they were installed the drive worked great.

I was looking for something to allow me to play Cd and DVD with great quality and this item has been what i had expected!!!!

It a nice flash drive. I never had a external drive before this one. but in the package there is no documentation on its features

It works as expected. Not big and flashy like in the days of old but it definitely works great

Purchased this primarily because new laptops no longer have optical drives. I travel frequently and this has worked great to run software and watch movies etc...

Nothing really fancy about it, have to actually go click on whatever was put in the drive as it doesnt pop up automatically

Not much in the way of setup instructions but once up and running, it worked well. It needs two USB ports to plug in

Excellent replacement for malfunctioning unit. Requires 2 USB ports. Like previous unit, has issues during reboot.

The external DVD player has excellent image quality on my Alienware laptop and the software is easy to use. It can be used to connect directly to a TV which is nice

I got no complaints about this product. If you don’t use dvd/cd drives that much, if can be loud for you.

This product works flawlessly and is very useful since most laptops no longer include an optical drive.
