Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cheap plastic build - out of the box the tray would not eject and it had that crappy ‘y’ usb connection in order to power it in the age of USB-C. I over came that using a single cable I use for other devices that I have to provide data and power to a single T3 port on both my MacBook and Razer 13 - still even the software included was 10 versions behind with no updates and only then windows. Very disappointing - I returned it that day.

Once updated to the latest version, it would only read regular DVD format, not Blu-Ray (this is a Blu-Ray writer) unless I sprung for a $90 upgrade to the 2021 version of it's included software. I have always liked LG products, but it is totally unacceptable for them to ship with software that went out of date 7 years ago, and for their product not to perfom as it should without an expensive upgrade required.
