I tried everything! I called LG, they helped me download a player onto my MacBook so it would play- no good still. I called APPLE for help. THEY helped me download an LG app for Apple- IT, STILL, would NOT play! I went to Best Buy.. THEY, tried it on their- Mac Books, - same thing happened. It would not not play! Turns out, this Blu Ray player EVEN THOUGH IT STATES ON BOX... it is compatible for MacBook or Windows... it is ONLY— good for a WINDOWS PRODUCT, PPL!!!! Beware!!!!! I RETURNED THIS ALREADY- sorry no photo. Best Buy, refused to give me FULL PRICE OF MY EXTENDED WARRANTY TOO. Even though it was only like, less than a dollar, I feel that I NEVER USED THIS ITEM!

It's pretty quiet, and it does the trick re-writing. Buy a faster version if you are going to be ripping to the BD a lot

Have literally used it only a dozen times for ripping CDs. Today I started to rip a CD, it started making a noise like something was scratching the disc so I immediately ejected it and it will no longer read a disc at all. I've tried three or four different discs and it just says no audio CD detected. It has always been kept safe in my laptop case. When it worked it worked great but why it would fail all of a sudden I've no idea. Be careful in purchasing this item.

I couldn't read a standard BluRay disk. I detailed my problems and Cyberlink said it is LG's problem. LG said they had a solution. Use Leawo software.

However, the 2nd time I attempted to play a blu-ray disc. It will not play the blu-ray disc. Will be returning this disappointment and hope the 2nd one I get will actually play a Blu-Ray disc more then once. Never really buy LG and now I know why... Honestly, it's over priced if it only plays Blu-Ray one time. LG must stand for Lousey Garbage!
