Had only made perhaps no more than 30 or so CDs and DVDs. Tried to burn an EP onto CD, Kept getting an error writing the 3rd track and it would auto finalize and not even write the 4th and 5th track. Thought it was a corrupt file, so redownloaded the music. Same result, so i manually slid the pickup lens though it may have been sticking. This time it recorded all 5 tracks but in the middle of the 3rd there is distorted sound for a portion. Now its useless to even try to burn anymore CDs. I expect better quality than this. Waste of money. Now have to buy a new one and it will not be fro LG.

I really wish i hadn't purchased it. I bought it when my niece passed away and i needed to make a dvd to play a video of pictures of her with music for the funeral. It was such a hassle to use and when i tried to make copies of it, it didn't work correctly four out of five times. I definitely don't recommend.

The plastic piece that runs against the rotating shaft that moves the lens assembly is not as good a design as in most other drives I’ve seen and this is what was broken I would not recommend this drive

I returned it and received a brand-new replacement from BestBuy. The second one died three months later. I didn't bother returning it as it just wasn't worth the effort. I did feel better for destroying the piece of junk. This is NOT a BestBuy issue. They were fine handling the initial replacement. It is the utter lack of quality from LG.

I am sure the device works well but you need to download a specific program for the blu ray DVD to play. I didn't find anything when I looked everywhere online and in the apple app store. From my personal experience, it didn't work for me and it was a waste of time and money.
