This morning it shorted my Mac when I unplugged it from the computer. Stay far away from this. This ended up costing me my computer. I cannot express how angry I am. I got it because I needed the blu-ray function. It isn’t worth it. Find another brand or something. At least those cheap Chinese DVD players don’t kill your computer. I expected more from LG. Also as someone mentioned if you have a Mac you have to plug it into an extension cord or something because of the two USB port system. I’ve never been this disappointed before. I am a student and now will have to immediately go out today and buy a new computer which wasn’t in the budget.

Each time I attempt to play a disc, I am presented with an offer to purchase software. can't get past the purchase screen rendering the unit useless.

The design is really cool tho and if it works with your computer I'm sure you would like it. Hate to knock it but since it would not work I had to return it and buy Apple brand, but the downside is that Apple does not have a blue ray player.

When one attempts to play a movie, it's like you have re-install it. I had hoped that all I'd have to do was put the disc in and auto-run would do the rest. No such luck. Initiating the movie, and later controlling things like "pause" are a real pain in the rump.
