Quick connect...I have used this writer to make data discs, music CD...and backup copies never an issue. Used in Windows 10 and Mac environment.

So far the burner/Blu-ray player has worked great. I like how portable the unit is. It's excellent for laptops.

So far this has been a great player. Only gripe is I wish it came with software to actually play the disks. You have to pay $30-50 for a seperate program to actually watch a blu ray disk. You won't need an seperate program to do the other functions.

Inexpensive and easy to use. Not the fastest option out there but also by no means the most expensive. Overall, a good external Blu-ray/DVD Drive.

Finally a dvd bluray player I enjoyed using. The cost was fare price . The Kidd love it

My CD drive went belly up in my desktop system. Either that or a windows 10 update rendered it useless. The choice was another internal burner or an external. External seemed to be the way to go since it could be used on other systems. The drive works flawlessly and isn't that much more expensive than a DVD drive. If you are transferring high def video to disk, then a blu ray drive is a must. This one is a good one and for another $50 over a regular DVD drive, it allows you to burn more useful higher density disks.

It is great! Works good with Blu Ray DVDs and burn CDS well. I really do rather internal DVD drives but my tower doesn't support it and this is where it comes in play. I hope Best Buy considers stocking better brands instead of LG brands. I heard other brands last better and longer. I had no problem with the DVD Blu Ray Slim. Hope there will be other brands in the later future.

I found this blu-ray Rewriter to be easy to install. Worked without any problems. Rewriter is easy to use & works as good as I expected. Now for playback for blu-rays you get software for cyber link power dvd 12. The only problem I found out was you can not adjust the color saturation you have whatever the dvd gives you. Most of the blu-rays I have played so far are low on color saturation. I found I need to get dvd 16 to be able to adjust color saturation thats $70.00.

Simple easy quick setup, good performance and consistent operation with my Windows 10 laptop. Works great with older DVD's as well as Blue Ray discs.

Works well and being portable to use on multiple computers is a big bonus as well. Great price too.

This drive is easy to install and use. The only complaint I have is that it's very loud.

I was getting ready to burn some DVD's of my pictures in order to archive them when the internal Blu-Ray burner in my computer died. I could not find any internal ones (slim) for my computer. Went to Best Buy and the associated recommended the LG 8X External drive. Plugged in the usb cables (1 power and 1 data) and got to work. Was able to make my discs and I didn't have to have computer repaired. And now I can use this with my laptop (which has no disc drive) as well. Really a great deal

After my previous blu-ray disc rewriters failed after many years of use, I decided to test out this USB external one. I am thoroughly impressed by it so far. Excellent.

Overall good product. I'm not in love with the way you control it, I feel like they vould have done better but I wanted one that could play Blu-ray and this was pretty much the one.

Everything I expected and then some. Great devise, super small and easily portable. Plays smooth with no skips, delays, etc. Love this. Which we had bought it sooner

This is a great external, USB Blu ray player. Compact, quiet light weight and does the job.

So I. Got this for my MacBook because I was looking to expand my watching options. It’s easy to use and is pretty much just plug and play. Just be aware it uses two ports on your usb. In the end I had to return it because I’m able to watch Blue Ray I would have to spend more money for the program for my Mac. Wish it already shipped with one and I’d change my stars.
