Overpriced. It keeps stalling while watching a movie. Very irritating. Makes alot of noise. Not worth the price.

Does everything i need it to do with very easy set up.

Good price for a Blueray writer. Much smaller than the writer I was using.

As more and more laptops become slimmer and eliminate ports and peripherals, it’s always a good thing to have one of these blue Ray DVD burners/writers on hand. I have been able to convert old martial arts dvds (15 total so far) to digital copies that I can load to other devices. Overall pleased, would recommend this to others.

This light-weight, small profile DVD/Blue-ray writer install easily and is easy to use. Very good value!

Took a little while trying to get my laptop to recognize the disc writer as an external device. Once that was resolved, the disc writer was very easy to use. Includes software for burning discs, though I haven't used it because I already had separate apps for photos and videos which include being able to create discs.

I love this! I needed a disc drive to go with my HP Spectre x360. This fits the bill excellently. I also use it to backup my blu-ray collection and have movies with me on my laptop when i travel. I highly recommend

I got this as a replacement for an internal DVD drive that died, two of them, and as an external drive that we could take with us on trips hooking it up to our laptop. Haven't had too much time to test it out but hooked up easily, software removed existing software on computer and loaded w/o a hitch. The only issue with future installs may be the proximity of two USB ports as the unit needs two to work.

BUT the USB set up got me (after 20 yrs of ordering online i should have known to check what actual users say...DOH!!) but alas only after did i notice the common complaint regarding my (so far) only complaint in that my laptop has only one USB port on each side of the keyboard i do have some HQ usb extensions but have yet to try one nor have i attempted my USB hub as a workaround but it would have been nice to have say....one foot of lead on each USB plug to at least have a fighting chance of hooking it up in circumstances (common one would imagine) where 2 USB plugs are not close as a pair other than that ive burned a CD with no ptoblem and have poked around in the bundled software a bit but have not found anything of use for me right now but im trying to imagine what i MIGHT do if...

Most newer laptops no longer have an optical drive so I found it necessary to purchase an external one. Did my research to make sure this was compatible with Windows 10. Setup was relatively easy but some necessary Microsoft files were missing and, quite frankly, Microsoft Tech Support was useless. After some online googling and research, I figured it out on my own and this works perfectly with CDs, DVDs and Blu-Ray.

This is a fantastic bluray drive! It comes with bluray playback software included which was a nice touch. Also this unit reads disks (both bluray and dvd) that other drives struggle with or cannot read at all.

I got an excellent blue ray burner. Super fast and easy to plug up and use immediately.

I love it. I would recommend it to anybody, my family, my friends. Because it's very. Light weight compact does not take that much space. It's really nice to have an RV or go camping. Or traveling? It's very portable.

Very easy to set up and use for the not technically inclined. And did not require an extra purchase to use with my new HP laptop like some of the others that I researched. I got it for a great sale price during the holidays. I can watch my own movies and not be at the mercy of the internet and downloads when I travel.

This external disc drive does a great job. It’s plug and play which is ideal. It works efficiently and was definitely needed for me to digitize my CD library. I have not tried to utilize the player directly on my TV but it’s nice to have that option. It does a little high pitched noise when in use but I’m not familiar enough with it to determine if I haven’t enabled a less noisy setting.

Needed the ability to load programs on my new desktop via dvd, this definitely takes care of the issue. Plus it was on sale.

Bought unit to play Blu Ray disks on my mac computers. Read on box that it would require me to get the mac drivers from another source, which I did and unit performs as desired. Would have been nice to have drivers as part of the purchase.

I really needed to be able to store more data and be able to record more video than even a dual-layer DVD would handle. This super slim, extremely portable, external USB connected LG Blue Ray Disc burner fits the bill nicely! Loaded the software, plugged in the burner and it worked like a champ! And, of course, it is backwards compatible with playing or burning DVD's and CD's as well; so, I now, also, have the capability to copy/burn between this external and the built-in DVD burner/player in my laptop.

Set up was quick and easy on my asus rog. Not the quietest optical drive but not very loud either. Plays dvds well

Great add on for a new mini computer. Installs easily and works well.
