Overpriced. It keeps stalling while watching a movie. Very irritating. Makes alot of noise. Not worth the price.

I really needed to be able to store more data and be able to record more video than even a dual-layer DVD would handle. This super slim, extremely portable, external USB connected LG Blue Ray Disc burner fits the bill nicely! Loaded the software, plugged in the burner and it worked like a champ! And, of course, it is backwards compatible with playing or burning DVD's and CD's as well; so, I now, also, have the capability to copy/burn between this external and the built-in DVD burner/player in my laptop.

Set up was quick and easy on my asus rog. Not the quietest optical drive but not very loud either. Plays dvds well

Needed the ability to load programs on my new desktop via dvd, this definitely takes care of the issue. Plus it was on sale.

I like that it's small. It reads discs, because I cannot. I use it to rip things to watch now or later on AppleTV. The cord needs two USB ports to supply enough electrons to the unit. The unit likes electrons. I would give it 5 stars if it had a faster transfer rate for ripping, but it work and wasn't stupid expensive, so I won't complain.

Works very well, quick response, quick read speed. Good for digitizing and reading discs. Does require computer to be plugged in when in use not just on battery power. Small and easy to transport.

I ordered this along with a new laptop. I had a blu-ray built in on one of my laptops before and it was awesome for traveling. This was very easy to set up and it allows me to watch movies on the road as well as copy some of the stuff on disks for backup. It is very small and easy to slip into a protective case while traveling.

The software bundled with the LG does not work. LG is aware of this. We called them and they told us to download and use Leawo. It works great. Now that it's working, the LG is a solid unit. Of course, who knows how long it will last, we've only had it for a few weeks. We got it on sale, and I think it was a great deal for LG - 8x External USB 2.0 Blu-ray Disc Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Disc Rewriter.

Works great. Plug and play. It's compact and I haven't had any problems with it.

This little device replaced my 5.25" internal disk. It works better that my old device and it is perfectly portable.
