This is a fine external DVD Player when coupled with the right Video player using Windows 10. Microsoft did not bring Media Player over with this version so a third party app like VLC or Cyberlink Media Center is needed. They also have an app that will test the capability of your system/device to playback Blu-ray and 4K dvds. No problem with earlier Window versions.

I bought this because lacking in my new computer. I love to watch movies in private settings with headphones so I can have better understanding and more fun. It is just plug and play device. It com with the programming disk, but it will take you to more money gimmicks. Power draw from your computer USB connection. Don't need extra power line. Very quiet and smooth operation so far.

Nicely compact. Uses two usb cables to provide enough data and power to the external device. Keep that in mind before you purchase this. Otherwise, it works well.

I haven’t had this for very long, but it has been very helpful with my MacBook Pro. I wish it had a usb type c connection. Had to buy a dongle. Wish Apple had a port for this as well so I didn’t have to get a dongle. Oh well that’s technology for you. But it does what it is supposed to do and worked right out of the box. If you need a cd or blu-ray player this will work well for you.

Unfortunately, if you want this type of product, this is about the only game in town. This happens to be my second one of this exact same model. The piece of metal that firmly holds the cord into the drive came off on my first one after less than two years of light usage. Once that piece of metal comes off, you're out of luck. If you purchase this product, I would highly advise plugging the cord in and leaving it in permanently. Other than this one problem, the drive functions well.

I had to buy an up to date burner since I wanted to burn Blu-ray dvds. This came up and well, let’s just say it works wonders for me. I love it. Simple and easy to hook up.

I use my computer a lot outside of the office for work and need the ability to play videos, often in blue ray format. This has been the perfect on-the-go solution. Haven't had it long enough to be sure about its durability, but the construction seems sound enough to handle repeated connecting and disconnecting of the cables.

This drive is fast, quite, slim sized and has performed perfectly as I wanted.

Works really well, solid machine and fast. Also great price.

I have used it a few times play Blu-ray DVDs and regular DVDs. And it writes a Blu-ray DVDs so that they will work in a Blu-ray DVD player. Now it is made for LG or Sony products so not necessarily guaranteed for all Blu-ray DVD players. But it works on the ones that I have which are Samsung and Sony.
