This external CD device makes it easy to avoid downloads of huge applications. I use it for installing TurboTax software and for reviewing files on disc. I can also play music.

I got it for a better price in store. Great product just as it describes. It plays both Blu-ray and dvds.

CyberLink Media Suite disc comes with this player and you can choose what features you want to install. It has it's own BD driver so you no longer have to search for anything else online. Plays Blu-ray beautifully! Very pleased!!

I needed an external optical drive as my laptop did not come with one. This drive works great for reading/writing cd's/dvd's and BD's. There are other things this drive can do, but I won't get into that here. If you need something like this, this is the one you want in an external optical drive.

Blu Ray writer best and fast however does not come with software

Most laptops nowadays do not come up with DVD players. This is a great DVD. Plug and Play. It also comes with Blu-Ray software which makes it very convenient as it is not necessary to purchase expensive third party blu-ray software. If you require a blu-ray DVD then this is as good as any other.

Played everything I threw at it and it is very light and portable!

had too many issues with my tower not playing my movies in my tower and at the time(kinda still do) not haveing enuff coin to have my tower full fixed my geek squad. so i found this neat item in best buy and now while im saveing up for a full repair i can still watch all my films. an A++ item!

This has been a great drive! The drive is pretty much Plug-n-Play (I'm on Windows 10 Pro and use it between Windows 2016 servers). The software it comes with is from CyberLink and it is easy to use. Something to consider - This drive's USB cable requires two ports to connect to your device. Not a problem for most since most computers/servers have two USB ports close by.

The drive itself is great, very small and worked well. Blu-ray movie support is the annoying thing. VLC doesn't play blu-rays correctly, and newer editions of PowerDVD don't work with it either. You have to use the included disk's version of PowerDVD to get any type of actual blu-ray movie support.

Good player. Software package would not install. Manufacturer said it was only demo products so I had to purchase blu ray player software for my computer along with the drive.

item works great. very easy to install and reasonably priced

I have no complaints. I love used this on dozens of movies. I’ve ripped a whole lot of Blu Rays to my hard drives. Just keep in mind a lot will have to do with the type of software you’re using.

Inexpensive, but worth the price I paid. Not very user friendly but it does work with both windows and Mac. The portability of this device is very convenient.
