This is a perfect external blu-ray drive. My new laptop didn't come with a CD drive, so I had to buy an external one. This one plays blu-rays, games, dvds, music, etc., perfectly and complements my new laptop nicely. It also comes with CyberLink Media Suite, which gives you the ability to play blu-rays and dvds, along with so much more. I highly recommend it.

Got my wife a really nice all in one computer, but it didn't have a dvd drive. Its hard to believe that they make desktop computers without them. I plugged it into a usb port and the computer install all the drivers needed. I also bought power dvd due to the reviews saying you cant watch blue-rays with the software that comes the drive. With power dvd it played dvd and blue-ray disk perfectly. the drive is very compact and would be easy to carry around if you wanted to use it with a laptop. very happy with the purchase.

Bought along with powerdvd 18 Ultra in order to play blu rays and DVDs. Works great on all Blu-rays and DVDs that I have attempted with the exception of one. That movie would freeze and not allow play to be continued. Play the same Blu-ray and a Blu-ray player with no problems.

This external CD device makes it easy to avoid downloads of huge applications. I use it for installing TurboTax software and for reviewing files on disc. I can also play music.

I've just started using it. So far it can read Bluray and I have not tried BD burning feature yet. It is a little noisy when reading BD disc though.

I opted to get this Blu-ray Rewriter over a CD or DVD Rewriter, just to be ahead of the curve. Very fast downloads! And I got it on sale for $25 off to boot, which was nice. I haven't bought a PC since 2004, so I was surprised to see that modern PCs don't have Disc Rewriters anymore. So this was essential!

This product did read the discs a lot quieter than I anticipated. For the price it is well worth the purchase. I mainly used it to read my bluray discs for the VUDU disc-to-digital program they offer. Overall, I'd recommend this unit.

Inexpensive, but worth the price I paid. Not very user friendly but it does work with both windows and Mac. The portability of this device is very convenient.

This device is okay. However, the software for the Blu-Ray function is clunky. The manufacturer wants to sell you better software for a price. As of yet, I have not tried to record on a CD/DVD. I do not plan on using this device very often.

Since desktops don't come with disc drives anymore I needed one and the Blu-ray part was even better since I have a lotta blu-ray discs

The best external DVD±RW/CD-RW Disc Rewriter that I have ever owned! (I have owned 2 different DVD±RW/CD-RW Disc Rewriters.)Granted, both Disc Rewriters are very good products! Very happy that I now have the added option of watching my blu-ray discs with such clarity on my PC ! Highly recommend to anyone in the market for an external optical drive!

it is very good for the price. It is portable and very fast. I love it.

This product made me nervous when we unboxed it but has worked fine so far. Sounds and feels cheap but does the job. I didn't care fir the software it came with as some of the nicer features for burning dvds you have to pay and upgrade to the better version. But for basic use it's fine.

Grabbed this because my current laptop has no built in Blu-ray, and I have dozens of movies on Blu-ray. As advertised, it was plug n' play. Was watching movies within minutes of getting it out of the box. Have not yet had occasion to write any discs with it, so I can't comment on that part.

I got it for a better price in store. Great product just as it describes. It plays both Blu-ray and dvds.

I purchased a new laptop and needed to purchase a drive because new laptops are doing away with internal DVD drives. Loaded included software, connected it without issue. I have played DVD's a BlueRay disk. Everything played fine. At this time I have not burned any disk with it yet. Keep in mind that this unit requires to be plugged into two USB ports!
