Work's as it should, but...
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My desktop and Laptop both lack disk drives, didn't see this as a problem, I haven't had a need to use a CD or DVD in ages. However Recently my roomate whos computer also doesnt have a CD drive received a disk with document's on it that they needed access to. So since I am the electronics nerd, and I'm most likely to need one in the future anyway, decide I'll buy external drive. Being able to both Read and Write Blue-Ray disks seemed to be a decent bonus and out of the drives available in store this seemed a good choice. It works just fine, but I wish I noticed that it was USB2.0 before I bought it. I assumed mistakenly that since It was a Blue-Ray burner it would have been at least usb 3.0 at this point. This makes it dreadfully slow for the few uses it has in my case. As I had planned on using it to backup a lot of non essential data to disks to clear out room on some of my drives. At USB 2.0 speeds that's a bit of a crap idea. If I find a higher speed drive I'll be returning this asap. Nothing wrong with it, works fine, just usb2.0 wasn't what I was expecting. Live and Learn.

Worked; noisy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well it worked alright and it was fast, but they unit was very loud and with its variable speed feature it would speed up and slow down so it made a lot of whining.

Excellent drive
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works really well. It does make a high pitched whine when really ramped up (what drive doesn't), but I do have it fairly close to me. Otherwise you don't really hear it that much especially if you had it hidden etc.

Works, but kinda noisy
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Reads discs quickly, came with software to play blu-rays so I don't have to look for one elsewhere. Runs kinda loud when reading and then periodically when re-reading, but not too bad if you've got headphones

LG external Blu-ray DVD drive
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This drive works with my HP laptop computer with windows 11. It comes with media suite for Blu-ray by CyberLink. That installed and updated the software. It all just works, what more could you ask for.

Good solid/fast drive
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good compact unit that reads fast. Software is easy to install and use. Note that windows 10 doesn’t natively play blue Ray movies, so you need to install something. The included software fits the bill. I only give 4 stars because I have to unplug USB cable when the drive hasn’t been used for a day or so. I’m not sure if it’s the drive or my PC. Even with this one minor issue this is a solid device.

Versatile disk player.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was advised by the Best Buy salesman to purchase this disk player because my new HP computer doesn't have a built in disk player like my original HP computer . This disk player plays normal dvds and also Blu-ray dvds which my previous disk player wasn't able to do!

Challenging start
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent drive, but, thought it is supposed to be a Mac compatible drive, Apple doesn't provide Blu-ray software. You have to find a third party program. Then, the drive works fine.

Good Device for a Good Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a drive for my new iMac. The Apple Superdrive was not highly rated by reviewers and the price was about $20 more than equivalent drives. I have used this drive to record CDs, upload content and data. The Apple DVD player app does not support the player as a Blu-Ray player, so not sure if that works (apparently there is an app for that.) Have not tried to record onto a BD or M-Disc. The noise is reasonable, but not as "silent" as the package might make you believe. Is not a problem to me. The other negative is that the connector requires 2 of my USB ports. I think one of the two is in lieu of a power adaptor (none is required or supplied.)

I Like It
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to use with my Macbook Air. It works beautifully. Got have to buy a separate operating platform to run the videos bc the player is only that. A player. I bought Blu-ray Player Pro. I got the highest one bc it said on the site that the others might not run every type of format. Its a one time buy.

Easy to set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As soon as you plug it into the port of your MacBook Pro it is recognized. I used it to install Dragon Dictate. It looks like you need to buy an application to be able to watch Blu-Ray movies, but I haven't tried it yet. It is super light so you can take it with you wherever you go.

Quiet efficient bargain blu-ray/DVD drive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since laptops no longer come with disc drives, it becomes necessary to buy an external drive to transfer my favorite movies and music I had on CD into digital files. This drive has worked flawlessly, required minimal setup and has performed without problems. I recommend not keeping it plugged in but only connecting it when needed.

Great tablet for Android users.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old Samsung tablet just wore out from daily use for over 5 years. It never gave me a problem in all that time. Transferring my files and apps to the new device was very simple and easy. The Galaxy Tab S6 is very intuitive to operate and I love the increased storage over my old one.

Its ok not to bad but not great either…
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device is one of those things that gets the job done. The 2 usb male ends is a bit confusing to get to plug in and play. Also its very loud when it runs. Not sure if it can be downloaded to my ipad pro yet. But ill need a dock to try it it since it takes 2 usb ports to run its features properly. The media disc takes extremely long time to load also. But it ran ok it did freeze while viewing a blue-ray disc not sure if was due to dirty disc or the player itself. So i give it avg rating
