Got this for a laptop for the bluray collection that I still have, and the odd utility/ driver disc, or even copying something out. Works pretty well, and the software it comes with does what you need it to.

I've used this drive extensively over the last month on a Mac running Yosemite. So far, no complaints whatsoever. Can be a little noisy as the disc first loads, but it's by no means a showstopper. Wonderful all around and I'd buy it again given the choice.

As a creative often times my clients request blu-ray dvd copies of the films I create for them, but I did not have a way to write them to this type of disk. I wound up doing some research and this was the best product I could purchase locally.

We haven't used our new DVD player yet but were pleased with the trial run. We look forward to using it in the coming days.

Works as expected, to p[lay Blu-ray movies you need to install a player the one that came with the drive works and does not have to be upgraded, like some of the older versions.

I needed this to put high definition video on disks to share. It actually worked well for what I needed. Thin which makes it packable but light weight so my break easily although so far no problem.

I was looking for a portable player to take on a trip, but there was only one option for BluRay. The player has worked great. It can take up to two USB ports (mostly for write speeds), but works fine with one USB port as well. Don't lose the cable though as they aren't that common.

This plug and play item was perfect for my needs. With most lap top computers they have no disk drive and is player fits that need perfectly. As of now, this dvd and blue ray external disk drive is the ticket.

I was very pleased with the overall size and the listed capabilities of the device. I haven't used all of the available functions, but can't wait to try them out. I'm looking forward to my next business travel so that I can give the device a true test 'on the road.'

Great to be able to play C.D. while working so I can listen to music at work. It works great watch DVD and Bluerays while traveling

This is a very reliable blu ray player/writer. Compact and hd videos that are really stunning! Recommended

I wanted the capability to watch my DVDs on my new laptop. I'd prefer an internal drive but couldn't find a laptop with the features I wanted at a price I could afford. Plus the internal drive adds weight to your laptop. I only occasionally watch DVDs but wanted that option.

I wanted a Blu ray drive to put on my new computer. This drive you just plug it into you computer. I didn't have to take the computer apart to install it . Just plug it in. I plays DVD and Blu Ray and it is a writer. Great Value. I can plug it into any computer, even my laptop.

This product performed as expected with no additional difficulties including connection/function. It was much louder in the downloading phase than I have anticipated, but otherwise acceptable .

I have a bunch of Blu--ray DVDs that I wanted to rip so that I didn't need the physical disc or drive while traveling. This was an excellent drive for that conversion. I can also travel with the drive if needed as it is small to carry.

I enjoy using this drive and my kids also enjoy uploading their music on to our Mac and watching Blu-Ray movies. It's easy to set up, just plug and play. I haven't burn a disc on there yet and I haven't had any problem with it so far but its only been 2 week so i will follow up with a review in about a month.

The DVD player works well. It's a little noisy though. The set up takes a while and is a little confusing, especially if you are a novice at it. But it plays DVD well and does great at downloading CDs to the computer.

I needed a disk drive for my new computer. I read the reviews on this and decided to give it a try. I brought it hooked it up and ran it through some tests and it works great. It is loud but hey nothing is perfect.
