It took minimum effort, and no additional research, to install the software to provide all the CD/DVD capabilities not built into my high performance PC. The istallation worked the first time, the instructions were intiuitive, and evrythiung worked the first time. Highly recommended.

This burner is a very impressive device. It just plugs right into your computer, and burns a disc in minutes, if you plug it into a notebook, you can burn a disc anywhere.

I remember when optical drives were so new they were not standard on pc. Now they are so old they are not standard on pc. Haven't used the write function so the 5 stars are for the ease of use and setup of the reader only.

The rewriter is great but for some reason it randomly will stop being recognized by my computer so I have to unplug it and plug it back in. Not sure if that is my computers fault or this rewriter but either way the thing works great otherwise.

Great add on for a new mini computer. Installs easily and works well.

I love my external blue ray cd because the new computers don’t have a cd drive to install disc, it works on my chrome book. Can watch movies, burn disc (back up of family tree) …

I used this to import music CDs into my MacBook. It worked flawlessly and was very fast. I have not used the other features yet, but I expect that it will work fine.

Works as expected. Used for work and reliably read transferred data discs for weeks on end. Instantly worked from the moment it was plugged in

I've used this drive extensively over the last month on a Mac running Yosemite. So far, no complaints whatsoever. Can be a little noisy as the disc first loads, but it's by no means a showstopper. Wonderful all around and I'd buy it again given the choice.

Great Blu-ray DVD writer. Very smooth in writing on disc. Easy to set up.

I was very pleased with the overall size and the listed capabilities of the device. I haven't used all of the available functions, but can't wait to try them out. I'm looking forward to my next business travel so that I can give the device a true test 'on the road.'

As a creative often times my clients request blu-ray dvd copies of the films I create for them, but I did not have a way to write them to this type of disk. I wound up doing some research and this was the best product I could purchase locally.

If a person still old DVD, this is perfect! I use my all the time. I am still happy, they still have this option. Thanks

I was looking for a portable player to take on a trip, but there was only one option for BluRay. The player has worked great. It can take up to two USB ports (mostly for write speeds), but works fine with one USB port as well. Don't lose the cable though as they aren't that common.

Unit is performing as expected. Small and relatively quiet.

I needed this to put high definition video on disks to share. It actually worked well for what I needed. Thin which makes it packable but light weight so my break easily although so far no problem.

Plug and play DVD burner is a great value! Recommended
