Great little drive. Worth the $$. Perfect for laptop or desktop.

Great product with good speed. Easy to carry with you if needed and small enough to not take up yoo much space.

It burns and plays Blu-ray disc(s) and lower. Its slim design allows this to be placed in almost any computer bag. Although it functions well, the software it comes with is 3rd-party and asks you to purchase things (adware) but it will still let you perform the necessary tasks to read the disc(s). I would have preferred it if LG had chosen a better partnership. Despite that, I am pleased with the response time when loading media into it.

This device has helped me archive on laptop and flash drive my classical CD collection. I have also been able to watch selections from my Blu-Ray and DVD collection.

The drive works well. I have multiple computers and use one of them on each. No problems

I was looking for an inexpensive burned for 25GB M-Discs. This one worked great right out of the box, after I installed and figured out the software that came with it.

Since most laptops don't come with a disc drive I picked this up for my son. The price was right and the device works great. My son can play CDs, DVD's and Blu-rays with this one. I highly recommend this device if you need a disc player.

Works as it should. Was very simple to attach and get up and running. Seems well built, my first external drive will have to see how it holds up though. You will need to download a Bluray player software, which there are some free options online.

Really enjoying the simplicity of this external drive. It was plug and play, didn't have to worry about any drivers to install with my new computer. Fast copy speed to computer hard drive. I haven't tried to use a Blu-Ray yet, but should be much different.

I got this player to use with my new laptop that did not have an optic drive. I use the player for my embroidery CDs. So far my Dell Computer reads the CDs from this player fine and it is compatible with my embroidery machine. No problems.

Does the job as intended. One has to be gentle when inserting and removing any disc. Works well.

Way faster than my old Blu-ray reader/rewriter. Love the look of it and it's relatively quiet compared to my old reader. Works well on my Mac and didn't have to install anything to have it recognized.

I'm only using it for ripping my DVD and Blu-Ray collection into a server on a Mac, and I really haven't run into any issues with the drive using MakeMKV other than one or two discs that the kids managed to destroy.

The blu-ray works fine. My only complaint is that it is very noisy. When the disc spins you can hear a high pitch noise. However besides that it works just fine

The newer laptops are coming thinner these days by sacrificing CD drives. Unfortunately, I had programming software that was still on disk that needed to go in. This LG Bluray drive really did the trick and now the laptop can double as a mobile Bluray player for trips.

Good software included...except some has to be upgraded for an additional cost and the ads in aal the programs are are super annoying. Just use CD Burner XP. The mechanism is very noisy and clicks and pops a lot, especially reading many small files, but seems to work ok. The micro usb connection seems a bit flimsy and easy to pull out by accident...mini usb was bigger but more secure and solid on older drives.

I have so far only used this for playing discs, but it is working well! It is a bit loud when running, but similar to internal drives. Looking forward to seeing how well it writes.

I bought this in order to play BluRay DVD movies on my laptop. The player unit does seem to work well, and yes, it (eventually) does play BluRay DVDs on my laptop. But be warned, you MUST install BluRay player software in order for this thing to work. The Cyberlink "PowerDVD" software included on DVD is difficult and annoying to get installed and working correctly (and that's on a new and highly specced Samsung laptop, not an older laptop), and the interface is intrusive and ugly. But it does work (eventually). You might want to find a different software solution

I purchased a new laptop that doesn't have an optical drive, but I needed to backup some video files on Blurays after storing them on hard drives. This LG is the best priced/quality external device I've seen/used in years and I highly recommend it!
