Overall a decent drive. Kinda sucks that two USB ports seem to be needed on my newer PC. My older PC works fine using just one. It uses a USB cable that has a jumper. One port is used for power, while the other is for data. Aparently it can be used on other devices like a TV, but I have not gave it a try. Besides taking over two USB ports, the only other gripe I have with it is that some disks seem to scape while it is spinning. On my Windows installation disk, it made a ring on the reading surface from the disk being scrapped. Not deep. But its there.

A must have gagit for all of your Blu-ray needs. The device is small enough to sneak into the Man Cave even when your wife told you to stay out of Best Buy.

Easy to use plug and play. Comes with power dvd programs. Had my Boyfriend get one for his laptop when he needed an external disc player.

A little slow compared to other dvd burners but still a great deal for the price. Have not had a bad disc so far. Haven't burned any blu-ray discs so no review of that capability.

Purchased it to rip some CDs. I had to buy USB A to USB C adapters to use with my laptop. It would be useful if it had a usb C port because that way it wouldn't need a double cable to provide the power for burning.

We bought this as our current laptop does not have an optical drive and we wanted to be able to access many of our older DVD picture backups. It works flawlessly and easily with DVDs or Bluray discs.

I plugged it in to my MacBook and it immediately recognized it. Ripped a Blu-ray no problem. I will keep using it and come back if I see any problems come up. Until then, it seems like it’s a great drive.

This Blueray disk drive is perfect for anyone who has a pc without an optical drive, or has a case without one. This allows for cases (like mine) that didn't have a spot for an optical drive, to accommodate for the need for disks. This is a burner, as well as a BD-Rom which will allow you to play your disk based movies, tv shows, as well as.play, and install all your disk based PC games/Windows/Linux, etc. I really like LG products, and this one does not dissappoint. It has all the features you need, and is plug and play (which is nice) meaning that you do not have to mount it inside the case, or fiddle with anything inside your computer.

The external drive works perfect. I have used it on my desktop as well as my laptop. Very portable.

Does it all. Reads and writes to every type of optical disk format in existence. Easy install. Decent utilities included. Buts... -A little pricy so make sure you really need a device that really does it all, or can you sacrifice some formats -Runs on USB2. USB-powered but requires 2 full-size USB ports on the computer in order to suck enough power. Make sure you will have them available. No external power option. -Slow maximum write speeds to CDs. 1 star off for this.

This DVD player is a life-saver. I needed to teach my film appreciation class via Zoom this quarter and with the help of the Best Buy Geek Squad I was able to make it work!

Plug it in, add a disc and you are off and running. I use it on a old laptop that won’t let me put disc in it and the new laptop that doesn’t have a disc drive. One is apple the other is hp. Works seamlessly!
