First purchase of LG. Last purchase was a Sony which was larger and slower. It is no longer working after 17 months, and Sony's service levels decline year over year. This unit appears good so far and performs quicker than the prior burners.

Just needed a drive to use with new surface. Works great, lightweight so good for portability. Powers up over USB no external power needed, bonus.

I have used this bluray drive for a few months now and it hasn't failed me yet. It runs very smoothly...however the build quality is a little cheap/flimsy. But it has been working great!

This is a great little External USB 2.0 Blu-ray Disc Double-Layer Dvd±rw/CD-RW Disc Rewriter. Fits nicely in the small case for my 2-in-1. Works great. Have had no problems with it at all.

This is my second LG rewriter. the first one died after extensive use. Even when not working correctly, it still performed some of the necessary functions. Very fast rewriter & great player.

I purchased this to rip my blu-ray collection into MKV and MP4 files. It does what it needed to. It plays the discs. I didnt pay attention to how loud it was, but it clearly was not noticeable.

Purchased to use on my tower entertainment system computer, I have been wanting to get a blu-ray drive to use with my computer. Thus far it has operated flawlessly. The software suite that came with it took a little bit of time to setup but has proven useful over the base Windows software components. If you want better options with the software, upgrading to the better software suite proved to be a worthy and useful investment. Base included software worked well though for basic functionality.

Blue-Ray and DVD playback work as expected. Burning DVDs also works no problem. The USB cable that comes with this is a little short. I purchased a longer USB C to Micro USB cable and it works fine.

My previous Blu-Ray Disc Drive bit the dust, so I purchased this one as a replacement. Works great so far!

I had a DVD player that just played regular dvds. So this was worth it because my friends have blue ray and Redbox. So this satisfies both regular and blue ray!

works great, love the tv connect feature and the 3D playback works very well, I haven't tried burning yet but all other features Work smoothly. easily useable between my mac and my windows PC.

Now that the new laptops don’t have players. We got this player and decided to get this because we also have Blu-ray movies. This was actually for a PC Dell laptop for other use. We own Apple products

Works great. You need to load an app for a laptop for the Blu-ray to function.

Excellent player, I have a smart TV and when I load a dvd disk in sometimes I have to navigate thru DHMI connections to get to to load other times it auto loads to the players correct HDMI when its powered on. But other than that it works great if the price is right its worth getting.

I bought this Blu-ray writer because most new laptops don't come with dvd drives anymore and I wanted to be able to watch movies on my computer. This device helped me with that. Works great! I would buy another if I were to lose it.

I love this Blu ray player. I can hook it directly to my TV for video playback or on my laptop when I need to access some data on DVD/Blu-ray. Price was great, and definitely satisfied the requirements i has for an external drive.
