Great for watching Blu Rays. It also does a good job burning them!

Faster than expected, reasonably quiet, and gets the job done!

I bought this Blu-ray writer because most new laptops don't come with dvd drives anymore and I wanted to be able to watch movies on my computer. This device helped me with that. Works great! I would buy another if I were to lose it.

I had a DVD player that just played regular dvds. So this was worth it because my friends have blue ray and Redbox. So this satisfies both regular and blue ray!

Purchased to use on my tower entertainment system computer, I have been wanting to get a blu-ray drive to use with my computer. Thus far it has operated flawlessly. The software suite that came with it took a little bit of time to setup but has proven useful over the base Windows software components. If you want better options with the software, upgrading to the better software suite proved to be a worthy and useful investment. Base included software worked well though for basic functionality.

Now that the new laptops don’t have players. We got this player and decided to get this because we also have Blu-ray movies. This was actually for a PC Dell laptop for other use. We own Apple products

I love this Blu ray player. I can hook it directly to my TV for video playback or on my laptop when I need to access some data on DVD/Blu-ray. Price was great, and definitely satisfied the requirements i has for an external drive.

This and the Combination of MakeMKV makes this a DREAM buy for anyone wanting to archive their Blu Ray Collection.

Decent blu-ray player for newer macbook pro that does not have a CD drive. easy to move around and take with me to various locations. Now and again it has a slight delay in starting up but for the most part this is a good product.

This is a good buy!! Portable, easy installation, everything you need to start using right away. It not only plays regular Blu-ray movies it also plays 3d movies with 3d capable tv's.

I bought this product to use as a Blu-Ray player for a laptop instead of a DVD writer. No instructions on how to do this & my bad - tiny writing on box that said "No software included". Even the salesperson didn't know this. A Geek Squad rep mentioned that you needed to download a player & that any would work, but the device still does not recognize the DVD format. It may work for it's primary function, but having trouble using for a secondary one.

The LG - 8x External USB 2.0 Blu-ray Disc Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Disc Rewriter is a great quality product for the price. Although a higher cost than others, this represents the best available for an external USB Blu-ray Rewriter.

I like this product mainly because when I ready to buy a new laptop, they don’t come with DVD partner or movie to watch movies and now I can take the movies. I have quite a few DVDs and I can watch them with the portable DVD player so I do like it and thanks a lot for that.

Certainly not an elaborate piece of equipment and maybe not the highest quality one on the market but you cannot beat the price. We actually bought a much more expensive Apple Pay is to go with her MacBook and we couldn’t get it to work with some software bugs that were going on at the time with the new iOS. We bought this alternative and it worked right out of the box. We were only wanting to play DVDs, it does not play Blu-ray but I don’t own any so I don’t really care. I actually don’t wanna own any DVDs anymore when it comes down to it, lol.

Very good portable blu-ray burner. It is fast and quiet. The only option that I wish that came with this portable blu-ray burner is USB 3.0 interface because a lot of portable dvd drives have the USB 3.0 interface included.

This is a good value, compared to what we used to pay for Blu-Ray DVD players. So far, it's been able to read everything I put into the drive without a single glitch. That is worth alot to me!

Installation was a breeze and it plays BluRays, DVDs and CDs perfectly on my LenovoYoga pro. The bundled software is actually pretty good, but the installation screens are very difficult to read.
