So many computers, tablets, 2 in 1s no longer come with CD/DVD drives built in. This external drive is great and I wanted the flexibility to play Blu Ray movies on my tablet, so this fit the bill

Works as advertised. Just plug it in and you're ready to go. Handles blu-rays and regular DVDs just fine.

Very simple to use. plug it into the usb port, pop the dvd that it came with it and follow the download instructions. I did not have to download any additional software to watch my dvd's.

With fewer computers of any kind including blu ray drives, it is great to know that LG has such a good performing drive. It installed in seconds and has performed flawlessly.

I was really excited to obtain this drive. Since the laptop computer I purchased didn't have an internal drive, I felt I needed an external drive. I just bought this but I did test a blu-ray movie with it and it worked great

Purchased it to rip some CDs. I had to buy USB A to USB C adapters to use with my laptop. It would be useful if it had a usb C port because that way it wouldn't need a double cable to provide the power for burning.

I was really impressed with the streaming apps available on this. Combine with the physical blue ray player and the ability to stream from local devices this basically does it all!

Very impressed with performance for my laptop that did not come with a blu ray drive. Plays Blu rays flawlessly and burns to disc ultra fast. Great product

I bought this LG external Blu-ray drive to replace a very similar LG external DVD drive that I'd had for years. I used that DVD drive to burn my entire Mystery Science Theater video tape collection to DVD, and to rip most of my 2000+ CD collection to MP3, so it stood up well to heavy usage. But while it was still reading discs OK, it was starting to have problems burning them. A need arose to be able to read and burn blu-ray discs, so I decided to make this upgrade and kill two birds with one stone. So far the blu-ray drive is working great. It's able to convert a CD to MP3 at least ten times faster than my old DVD drive.

Blue-Ray and DVD playback work as expected. Burning DVDs also works no problem. The USB cable that comes with this is a little short. I purchased a longer USB C to Micro USB cable and it works fine.

Excellent player, I have a smart TV and when I load a dvd disk in sometimes I have to navigate thru DHMI connections to get to to load other times it auto loads to the players correct HDMI when its powered on. But other than that it works great if the price is right its worth getting.

I absolutely LOVE this external drive! I had bought a different one from a different store and returned it the minute I saw this one available. This drive has done everything I wanted it to. I read the reviews before purchasing and decided it was exactly what I wanted. I have put almost all of my home movies on DVD now. It has worked with Windows 10. It works with my work laptop. I love it!

Bought a new PC, which doesn't have a cd/dvd drive. Easy to use and works great!

It’s kinda scandalous that one has to buy decoding software for another $40-100 along with a drive it to play overseas content, this is the best way.

Now that new laptops (and even desktops) are dependent on cloud storage, they often no longer have a drive for CDs or DVDs.....this accessory is easy to use and great to have handy when needed.

Works as intended. Does well with all formats including blu ray, dvd, and cds.

I was looking to back up my DVD / Bray collection to my computer so I can watch through iTunes works great! The guy at the store was very helpful and walked me through the difference between several models! Would recommend highly
