Works at advertised. This device has one purpose and it does it very well. Also the product is smaller than I thought which is great because I didn't want a big item taking up my desk.

Works good, much easier than the big desktop model I bought years ago(still works).

I am satisfied with this player. The only negative, which is minor, is that software to use the player is not as user-friendly as I would prefer.

It really gets the job done, it does it even faster then other processors that I have use before

I recently purchased a new Asus notebook and it did not have a DVD burner as most new notebooks. I just needed something small and easy to transport in my briefcase to take with me.

I wanted a Blu-ray right a long time . Works great easy use and very convenient. Now all I need is more Blu-ray discs!

Synced up very well to my HP 13" Spectra laptop. Had to use two adapters to connect to my laptop micro "C" connections as the player uses two USB A's. Works great.

It perfect for all the functions it's designed for. Just plug and play device. Super simple, silent operation. Totally satisfied. Love to watch movie with headphone in private.

Used it a few times, easy to use, just need two usb ports close together, or an expansion port.

It works as it should, and that is an honest evaluation, as far the units hard shell the tray is flimsy and should be handled carefully. You can hear it spin up but its works smoothly. I am happy with it but would like to have seen a firmer tray. I get no kick backs for any of my reviews. So you just have to weigh in the price and the quality to judge if they are in line. I personally expect a hardy tray in these but this is a slim line, a half of inch thick perhaps I am being too critical for it's size. You will have to be the judge about my complaint.

The burner is very reliable and reasonably priced and does a great job on most media !

I bought as a disk reader since my laptop doesn’t have one. Haven’t burned any blu-rays but the other functions work well.

Great to have external drive for DVD/CD since new laptops don't have them anymore. Blu-ray bonus.

Works like a charm. Nice to take and use anywhere where I want to watch and enjoy a movie.

This Blue ray has worked flawlessly. I bought this to transfer Blue-ray disc to my I-pad. It is working as intended. I have not burned any disc so I can not speak about that function.

Shopped for an external BR player for my laptop, saw good reviews on LG. The issues were multiple, starting with the fact that the software (Cyberlink) had to be upgraded right out of the box. For some reason that wasn't a straightforward matter, but once done, the unit either wouldn't register on the computer or if it did, didn't play the disk. After going back and forth troubleshooting on line, I consulted my IT coworker. Additional software was downloaded (Leawo) and additions to the VLC library. Leawo got it to play but only if the computer was online, which seemed unnecessary for a plug in unit. Ultimately I don't use it to play blu ray disks; it does well with dvds. My first choice was the Buffalo Industries BD player but ordering was a hassle. The problems could have originated with the laptop or the player, and other users had the same issues although most appeared to finally get it going. So it's not a total loss but disappointed nonetheless. I have to say no to recommending this unit not because it's junk but because it seems too unwieldy to get it to work.
