Great deal for those who appreciate blu-rays

Now that they don’t generally include DVD players on new laptops why not add the blu-ray to the mix, as my reasoning went. I had been waiting for a deal and Best Buy fortunately had the best one. I’m glad to have it. The only problem for me is having to use two usb sockets but the 5 usb splitter I had at home worked well with it.

Good, but could be much better

The Apple branded one writes CD/DVD but for almost same price this LG one even writes Blue Ray - so I decided to give it a shot. I felt that it was very noisy while operating. It also took too long for the MacBook Air to recognize this device and it initially felt like the computer froze. I wish the Apple branded one wrote Blue Ray.

Very Easy to Use

Downloading the software was a breeze and I was able to burn my DVD Home movie to it. It worked wonderful and burned the disc quickly. From when I downloaded the software, connected the burner and burned my first disk it was all within an hour. It burned the movie even though I had put the movie together using Movavi and burned the disc with the software provided by the burner. Wonderful!!!
