The software that it comes with is awful and can not play blu-rays! I had to seek out third party software. I ended up buying other software for 40 bucks and downloading free software, both of which are better than PowerDVD which is what this player came with.

Awesome player/burner for the price...

I purchased this burner for backing up my computer files. With today's picture files and music files, you need this tool. Storing electronic files on an electronic device (external hard drive / USB) is safe but not super safe..as I discovered after a lightning hit near my house, all my files were gone. Luckily I just purchased the burner and saved all of my files on blu-ray...
