Works as fast as my internal drive

Really fast Blu-ray Ripping, DVD not so much.

The DVD speeds were slower however compared to another DVD-only drive that I had so it won't completely replace it. I would recommend to not install the software in the box if it can be avoided. The Cyberlink PowerDVD software auto-launches everytime a disc is put in the drive which can get annoying since I was not watching the movies and ripping. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

LG-8x External usb 2.0 Blue-ray Disc

I have an old external dvd player, which is still working fine but I wanted to update and have another dvd attached to my computer. The only issue I have with it is the program that came with it. The program seems to keep the volume lower than I expected. I would buy it again.

Awesome Blu-Ray Writer
