Connects to my laptop easily, plays movies and cds well and in pretty good quality, even non-bluray movies. Be aware that it does have two USBs to plug into your laptop, I know a lot of laptops don't have USB ports anymore, never mind two. Overall very happy with my purchase.

Good Blu-Ray / DVD Player

The speed was good, the mechanics of opening the disc tray is somewhat clumsy, but still workable. It would be nicer if it were a USB 3.0 connection to increase the data transfer rate. All in all its still a great product for the price.

Sleek, but connectivity inconvenient

Presumably to provide extra power to the unit. I haven't tried to leave only one plugged in and see what happens, but was a bit annoyed when I saw this during unboxing. It's also worth noting that I felt the name & description weren't clear; this drive *is also a BD writer* not just a reader.
