Had no issues to install and us this CD player. The read is fast. The device is light weight so easy to be portable as I travel a lot for work. If you are like me that the Laptop the company gives you has not CD reader, and you need to read a CD, this DVD/CD reader does the job.

This Drive was simply plug and play, very easy to use and seems to be plenty fast enough. I have a few applications that require a disk in the drive for security and this drive has been performing fine.

Nice small little unit. New computers do not typically come with one now. Still need it to make CDs for church recordings.

Got this to rip my unnecessarily huge library of cd's, worked great, just wish I didnt have to buy something like this when laptops should still have this option. Glad this product exists.

I needed this to replace an older drive and use with a new computer. It is quicker than the old drive I had, It is seeing a lot of use as I have a backlog of CDs to add to my library since the old computer had issues and seems to have no issues. It also doesn't take much space

You can't beat the price. Easy to set up and start using immediately. Great for that computer that no longer comes with built-in DVD/CD drives. Small in size and doesn't take up much desk space.

Given the fact that no igh end modern PC comes with a space for an internal DVD drive, I needed something to let me access CD and DVD's that I have at hme. This device fits the bill just fine.

This drive is really good. Burns music cd fast. Burned over 40 cd's and it's still working great. The best thing, Best Buy had it on sale. So got a good deal on it.

I constantly believe in the value and importance of physical media, so imagine my delight in finding a dvd/cd burner that can run on modern hardware! It's incredibly fast, and the quality does not diminish at all, it's tested out 10 movies and over 50 music CD's, no issues at all. I would buy 5 more if I needed them, but unfortunately (and fortunately) I don't, haha!

This is a superb value! Even at its list price of $39.99 it does it all (not BluRays). Will read, burn any format CD or DVD including 8.5GB double layer disks easily. I am using it with a Microsoft Surface Go TABLET and it is perfect. You do need an unpowered OTG Type C adapter for use in my tablet, but no external power supply.

I needed a budget external DVD/CD drive for my newest Windows 10 laptop that didn't come with one, and to use with my older Windows 8 laptop with a built in DVD/CD drive that was showing sign of failing. This LG USB drive works perfectly on both computers, and was truly a plug-and-play installation. The icing on the cake is that I got it on sale from Best Buy for the fantastic price of $15.99. What's not to love about any of this???

Easy to use and very lightweight. Just plugged in and used. Downloaded separate software to play dvd. Got it at year end sale at a great price. Works fine with my Dell laptop.

Works as expected. Great for loading or playing media on the newer devices that do not include optical drives.

I needed a way to import hundreds of CDs into my computer so that my wife would stop complaining about how much room they were taking up in the garage. I don't really listen to them much anymore, but what if someday I really wanted to listen to "12 Inches of Snow" without having to rely on youtube having the exact track I was looking for? I couldn't just throw them out or give them to goodwill or even sell them. And putting them into the attic where they'd be just as inaccessible wasn't a viable option either. This drive was the perfect solution. It's relatively quiet and decently quick. It plugs into a USB port making it a snap to use. The drawer feels a little flimsy when I'm trying to drunkenly swap from one CD to the next, but that might just be me being a bit nit picky. It's a good product that solved my problem at a good price.
