You can't beat the price. Easy to set up and start using immediately. Great for that computer that no longer comes with built-in DVD/CD drives. Small in size and doesn't take up much desk space.

This is a superb value! Even at its list price of $39.99 it does it all (not BluRays). Will read, burn any format CD or DVD including 8.5GB double layer disks easily. I am using it with a Microsoft Surface Go TABLET and it is perfect. You do need an unpowered OTG Type C adapter for use in my tablet, but no external power supply.

Bought this for my grandbaby do she could watch appropriate children’s videos. Easy to set up and use. Small enough to stick in the diaper bag for trips. Works with laptops and TVs.

works well, it is pretty light but is quite when it runs and was faster then I had thought when it made the back up disks for my new computer as it didn't have a disk drive so got this one..

I needed a budget external DVD/CD drive for my newest Windows 10 laptop that didn't come with one, and to use with my older Windows 8 laptop with a built in DVD/CD drive that was showing sign of failing. This LG USB drive works perfectly on both computers, and was truly a plug-and-play installation. The icing on the cake is that I got it on sale from Best Buy for the fantastic price of $15.99. What's not to love about any of this???

My LG - 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD+PW/CD Drive in Black works well, and I am enjoying using it on both my Levono Laptop PC and my new Geek Squad built desktop PC, it reads my DVD's great, writes new DVD's great, and is very useful for me to us to watch some movies I have from the High Point, NC Public Library.

This product is incredibly easy to use. When connected to my Mac, it worked instantly. Many of my files and memories are still on CDs, and this device allowed me to take a "trip down memory lane" and access a vast collection of projects I had created over the years. Moreover, many of us still have a large music collection on CDs. This tool makes it easy to read and import files, eliminating the need for additional subscription fees.

Excellent product and service! It is valuable for when I enjoy being offline, no ADS, and used the product line for creating videos. I am able to use the library videos, videos sold in the Thrift stores, study helps, and even for music. Thank you!

Since CD's are becoming outdated, as such, and I have grandchildren CDs by the bookcase full, I am glad to find an external drive I can use. I need a little more time to use it before rating it. I can use the music CDs good,, but having difficulty locating pictures and moving around. It's probably just me. I need to check with an agent soon.

I needed a way to import hundreds of CDs into my computer so that my wife would stop complaining about how much room they were taking up in the garage. I don't really listen to them much anymore, but what if someday I really wanted to listen to "12 Inches of Snow" without having to rely on youtube having the exact track I was looking for? I couldn't just throw them out or give them to goodwill or even sell them. And putting them into the attic where they'd be just as inaccessible wasn't a viable option either. This drive was the perfect solution. It's relatively quiet and decently quick. It plugs into a USB port making it a snap to use. The drawer feels a little flimsy when I'm trying to drunkenly swap from one CD to the next, but that might just be me being a bit nit picky. It's a good product that solved my problem at a good price.

Great small DVD.CD reader/writer. Plugs in, drivers load quickly and you're up and running. Inexpensive, especially with a bonus Best Buy coupon. Less than $20. Well worth the money.

It’s a good drive for the price. You can only register it to one computer. It isn’t the fastest but it thin and low profile. Easy to carry i. Your laptop case.

It was easy to install, and is easy to use. I am 81, so if I can use it anyone should be able to do so.

Computer companies are making notebooks so small and lightweight that components that were standard once upon a time are now sold as optical accessories. If you are adamant about still having the ability to watch and write DVD and CD-RW discs, this is an easy, inexpensive unit to use. It literally just connects to your computer's USB port, plug and play works seamlessly. I will add that as the production of discs is fading, you won't find yourself using this much. I mean, when is the last time you burned a CD for your family road-trip.
