My work laptop does not have a DVD player on it and I needed it to copy for Christmas program. This little device is easy to operate and works like a dream. I will use this for sometime to come. I highly recommend purchasing it for the need. Thank you.

I love my super sweet ultra light laptop that sacrifices a disk drive for size and weight, but sometimes streaming isn't an option. My better half has a similar laptop and some older sims games that need to be loaded from a cd/dvd, so this was a no brainer when I saw it on the deal of the day! I wouldn't pay more than about $20 for one of these because we personally won't use it very often. We've both tried it out and it works great. Happy to have it when we need it at a fair price.

Ease of set-up and use. If you are like me - old school, use to having the option of a writable cd for burning CDs, videos, and pictures, this is your affordable solution as getting this on your laptop is hard to find. Plug this in and don't worry about the cloud, external drives, and the other techy stuff, us old timers are set in our ways and change can be hard as tech moves so quickly.

Works great in ripping existing CDs. Doesn't rattle like my old one.

I really like this DVD Player: It's very thin, so it takes up minimal space. Works very efficiently. The only complaint I have is I wish they'd have put some kind of "Slide" proof material underneath it. I have it on top of my PC (with a mouse pad underneath it, so I don't have metal-to-metal), but it still slides all over the place :( Other than that, I like it :)

The Geek Squad tech, Luke recommended this product to go along with the laptop that we purchased. He was very helpful in helping with the laptop purchase and explained to us the features of the laptop and what we needed to download CDs. Answered all our question and he was a GREAT help.

Needed something to play DVDs for the kids with our new laptop computer (our old laptop computer died and the new one does not have a DVD reader). It was easy to set up although the software (which I thought would be straight forward to download) was a bit confusing. I ended up downloading different software to play the movie. We've watched one movie successfully!

Product is lightweight, decent speed and does what it should. If you want something faster look into a USB 3.0. I’m using it on a USB 2.0 laptop and works just.

Light weight. Easy to use. Inexpensive. Serves my purposes well. Could use a longer cable.

Excellent drive that works well. I bought it at Best Buy the same time as the laptop on 4/27 so saved $8 on the bundle, paid only $31.99 for the drive. My new Asus X555QA laptop is top of the line with 8GB RAM but does not include an optical CD or DVD drive. Seems to be the future as many computers are shipping now without a drive. I bought this and it is nice and slim, fits in my computer carrying case. Also works fine with my Windows 7 virtual machine that I installed on the laptop.

If you have a laptop, I'll bet there have been moments when you've said, "I wish I had an optical drive right now!" This little device is a perfect solution for that. It's lightweight, good looking, reliable, and easy to use. Plugged into my Win10 laptop, Win10 just magically installed the drivers and I started installing software. I use it for data not video. To watch video, you'll need to download VLC (it's free), or some equivalent video program..

I bought this CD player in order to put my CD music on my computer. It does a fantastic job and is small, lightweight and easy to setup.

Perfect size fit install a small area I had for it. Easy to install. Works great.
